"Serge & Dmitry took extra precautions to protect the surrounding furniture and fixtures. The shower replacement looked great and they did a thorough cleaning of the inside and outside work sites. We enjoyed the experience and appreciated their skills, dedication and professionalism. They were friendly and respectful and we also enjoyed listening to their accents."

"Had the bathroom flooring replaced about a year ago...  Evidently, that crew didn't make adjustments for the new flooring, when they replaced the commofe and sealing gaskets.  Have had Actiion Plumbing in twice to fix the problems.  First was a tank-to-bowl gasket that was leaking, and this time it was a bowl to discharge leak; which ruined a good area of our new flooring around the commode.
Plumbing is a nasty job...  I used to do all ours by myself.  Tales to be told there;  but at 75, I can no longer do the nasty stuff, or even the easy stuff if it requires "bending..."    We started with "Action Plumbing" several years ago, and have stuck with them because they live up to the name...  You call in with a problem, and there will generally be a truck in your drive within four or five hours...  I don't give a d*** if the prices are a little higher, you'll be glad you called them.   You'll get an estimate before the tech starts, and generally that will be It...  However, if problems are encountered, you can rely on fair charges...

"Russomanno Construction did such a beautiful job with our bathroom remodel. Took out everything from a 1947 bathroom and redid everything from piping, electrical, tub, floor, toilet, sink, shower and tiles. It is so beautiful and modern we told them what he pictures and we got it exactly how we envisioned."

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

A professional bathtub installation or replacement typically takes one to three days, depending on the project's complexity and any necessary alterations. If you hire a professional, most replacements can be completed in one to three days. However, if you choose the DIY route, the process could take up to a month, as it involves removing the old tub and drywall, installing the new tub, repairing the drywall, and installing new tiling.

You can use a new bathtub after 24 to 48 hours. It's best to double-check with your plumber, though, because the time can depend on the type of bathtub installed and special process or materials used. For example, certain sealants need longer to cure, or if the installation involves extensive plumbing work, the plumber might want you to wait.

The best bathroom floor tiles are strong enough to withstand the weight of a clawfoot tub. However, professional tile installation is essential. If the tiles are uneven or improperly fixed, they may crack under the pressure. Be careful when installing the tub—if it drops or drags on the tiles, it could easily cause scratches or cracks.

You should consider replacing your bathtub if the tub—or any potential refinishing—is older than about 20 years old. However, acrylic and fiberglass bathtubs have a shorter lifespan (about 10 to 15 years). You may decide to replace your bathtub sooner if there are stains or mold you can’t get rid of, no matter how much you clean it, or if you find leaks and cracks that could lead to costly water damage.

The order of your bathroom renovation should prevent damage to the completed work. Start with demolition and removing the old fixtures. Then, address structural repairs or water damage, if needed. Next, tackle the rough-in phase for plumbing and electrical work, install waterproofing, and work on wall treatments like tile or paint. Install your shower or bathtub, toilet, vanity, and sink. Flooring goes in after major fixtures but before the toilet. Lastly, install new lighting fixtures, mirrors, and other finishing touches as desired.
