He worked with me to meet my schedule needs. Elio the crew lead that did the work was excellent as well. He and his two man crew did a fantastic job. They worked so methodically, coordinated, and very efficiently. Concrete was late and not delivered as promised, otherwise they would have knocked the work out earlier than when they did. They waited longer for the concrete than what it took they to complete the work. Elio and Bryan were very professional and easy to work and comunícate with. The best place to install a wood stove is near an outside wall. This makes it easier to route a chimney through the roof than if it were located in the dead center of your house. No combustible materials should be near the wood-burning stove, and depending on the building code, 20 inches to 36 inches of space should be allowed between the side wall and the stove.

The short answer is yes, as hearths need to extend a certain distance out from the fire. This is usually around at least a foot in front but is often more, closer to two feet even. If possible, use a home's blueprints or look for chimney connections that indicate load-bearing qualities to get your answer.
