"Miguel and his crew were very punctual and professional. They did a terrific job of moving all my sons furniture from our home to his new apartment. They worked very hard and completed the move with time to spare. Last year we used All-Some Movers to move our daughter from her apartment to her new home and we were very pleased with the service we received then, as well. Darlene was a delight to work with in getting everything set up. We would highly recommend!"

"It went great! They were very careful with the furniture and used blankets to protect it. We have a lot of big heavy furniture and they never comlpained about moving it up and down stairs. They were very hardworking and were very efficient. I do not think that they stopped working the entire time they were at our house.

"They could not have been better. Came on time, worked together and worked hard. They protected the furniture with wraps, avoided scuffing paint, treaded lightly on new carpet. They were efficient, thorough, and quite frankly, exceeded all of my expectations for helping make a stressful move day run very smoothly-- thank you so much!

"they gave me a time window of 11am-2pm and showed up 11am sharp. It's a 2 bed condo on the second floor and it took them almost three hours to get everything on the truck. the move went reasonably ok and I have the following observations/incidents:

when moving the wardrobe cabinet the cabinet doors keep swing open. I had to show them to wrap it with some plastic wrap - thought they should know better than I do.

my new king size mattress is expensive and heavy and two guys would struggle to carry it. they had to stop half way to the truck and rest it on the dirty road with no protection. when challenged they say they would put it on a pad once on the truck. the problem is, what am I going to do with the dirt that's already on the mattress? there is a simple solution, just put on some protective plastic wrap before moving it.

I have a few boxes that I packed and asked them to take them to the truck, but was challenged that it is in the contract that they would move furniture only. I didn't know that I had singed up to such a stupid contract - my fault I guess. they took them eventually but it leaves a bad taste."

"The movers were on time (called to see if they could be a bit earlier and for us...it was an absolutely!). Dave has excellent customer service and is very knowledgeable about the moving process. I have already recommended Baby Huey's to a friend!"

"Three men came to move the sofa up steep stairs , turn sharply at the top and precisely maneuver into the correct location.  It was a very congested work area.   They got the job done quickly and without a snag or smudge anywhere.   The sofa is upholstered in a jacquard fabric and they handled it with care.  They were very easy to work with and made a big juggling act look easy.  I will be sure to ask for their help should I need to again.

Piano Moving questions, answered by experts

It is best to book a moving company two to three months before your move-out date. This provides enough time to compare rates, organize your belongings, and find an available crew for your desired day and time. While you might find movers with only one or two weeks' notice, some companies require booking up to 90 days in advance.

Planning ahead is especially important if you're moving during the busy summer season when demand is highest. Summer weekends, in particular, book up quickly. Securing your movers well in advance helps you avoid the stress and potential extra fees of last-minute arrangements.

Movers are very skilled in everything having to do with the moving process. From knowing which supplies and materials to use for certain items, to packing, to knowing how to efficiently load a truck, they have experience doing it all. And professional movers often do it all faster and more efficiently than a typical homeowner could.

Yes, many office moving costs are tax deductible, but only businesses are eligible to deduct moving expenses on their taxes. Personal moves, such as relocating for a new job or moving from an apartment to a house, are not deductible.

However, not all business taxes are deductible by that business. Deductible business moving expenses are limited to the direct costs associated with relocating office supplies and equipment. This process encompasses brokerage fees for securing a new location, space surveys, packing, loading, transportation, and unpacking. Costs related to moving employees or other indirect expenses are not eligible for tax deductions.

Movers calculate a moving estimate through various methods, including flat fees, estimated weight, amount of space taken up in the moving truck, or a combination. Read the estimate carefully, including parts of the contract that cover mover liability, how and when movers arrive, and other information. The best estimates include an itemized list with fees for fuel, especially large items, packing and unpacking, storage services, and more.

The best way to find a reliable piano mover is to get a recommendation from a family member or friend. If that’s not possible, you can contact local piano movers and ask the following questions to find a reputable company:

  • How will you pack and prepare my piano for the move?

  • Do you offer a guarantee or moving insurance?

  • How many years of experience do you have?

  • Do I need to do any prep work before you arrive?

  • Are you licensed and insured?
