"I had problems with the company sending me the financial information. They quoted me for the most difficult job such as replacing the upstairs floor under the bath if needed. there was no need to replace the floor this part was not taken off the original price. Finance co. keeps calling and I do not have their information. All I got from Bath Solution was the application for financing it."

"The basement king was a pleasure to work with. His knowledge is unmatched in the Texas area for sure. I received multiple quotes and talked to multiple companies and he was the best. He's passionate about his work and the manner in which it's done. If he says something, it happens. An added benefit was their cleanliness. Usually a job site of this size and complexity is a mess, but not with the basement kings. 10/10!"

Plumbing FAQs, answered by experts

Postponing plumbing repairs in Andrews exposes your home to serious hazards. The expansive clay and caliche soils shift with moisture changes, worsening pipe stress and causing severe slab foundation leaks. High mineral content from local aquifers aggressively builds scale, creating complete blockages. Additionally, extreme winter freezes in TX cause exposed pipes to burst, while drought-related municipal water pressure fluctuations rapidly accelerate deterioration and increase the risk of sudden pipe failure.

Helpful?

Thorough plumbing work in Andrews includes proper city permits and a final inspection sign-off. Certified professionals always follow state codes for proper venting, correct pipe sizing, and approved materials. Because TX has notably hard water, correct installations feature dielectric unions at water heater connections. After significant repairs, professionals perform documented pressure tests and properly seal all pipe penetrations through your slab foundation to prevent soil intrusion and protect your home.

Helpful?

Completing plumbing projects in a single visit depends on several local factors. Projects requiring city inspections inherently span multiple days. Since most Andrews homes have slab foundations, under-slab access demands concrete removal and restoration over multiple sessions. Additionally, specialty parts take time to arrive in this remote TX market. Extensive slab leaks, complex septic system repairs, and gas appliance reconnections also require multiple visits to ensure safe and thorough completion.

Helpful?

Start by locating and testing your main water shutoff valve near the street for emergencies. To address hard water deposits common in Andrews, remove and soak faucet aerators and showerheads. You can safely replace a toilet flapper to reduce water waste. Never attempt to work on natural gas lines or open septic system components. Instead, photograph visible leaks and record your water meter readings to share with a licensed TX professional.

Helpful?

When planning plumbing projects, account for the high mineral content of the local water supply by installing whole-house water softening systems. Review local water conservation ordinances before starting outdoor irrigation work. Homeowners in TX must also consider nearby oilfield activity, as heavy truck vibrations stress underground pipes over time. Finally, plan ahead for limited workforce availability in Andrews and factor in extra time for gas utility coordination and slab foundation repairs.
