Warranties offered

"They are good quality windows and their customer service was great. However a little pricey. The window latch broke after a couple months and it took seven months to get it because they claimed they discontinued the windows. How am I to get a lifetime warranty on a discontinued window? And 6 months to replace a latch. Scary. I do like the windows but I will not do this again for the other windows due to price and length it took to get broken latch fixed. Not sure how good the warranty actually is"

"I had an estimate from another company who stated I needed to replace my drain at a cost of approximately $1,000. So I called Action Air to get a second opinion, and though they had to reschedule my original appointment, I was thrilled with the result. Sam was a very friendly, knowledgeable technician. He was able to clear the drain, and advised me of ongoing maintenance I can do to prevent future clogs. The cost was a fraction of the first quote, so I will definitely call them in the future."

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

It’s substantially less expensive to reglaze a tub than to replace it. The average cost of reglazing a bathtub is between $400 and $700, but that range may be higher based on where you live and the type of tub you have. Meanwhile, if you want to replace the bathtub, you’re looking at $2,000 to $9,400, with the average close to $5,700.

The time it takes to install a bathtub depends on the type of tub, the condition of the existing plumbing, and the installation's complexity. A new bathtub can be installed in four to eight hours. However, this can take longer if any additional plumbing work or bathroom modifications are needed.

To keep a walk-in tub in good condition, clean it regularly with non-abrasive cleaners. It is also important to periodically inspect the seals, jets, and faucets to ensure they are functioning correctly.

Labor is the most expensive part of a bathroom remodel. If you’re doing a major remodel, structural changes (such as moving walls) and plumbing reconfiguration can be costly. For a standard remodel, the big-ticket items include tiles and new tub or shower fixtures.

Technically, yes, you can put a shower on a Roman tub, but it's not common. The vast majority of Roman tubs are standalone models. Adding a shower would involve installing a ceiling-mounted curtain rod or a custom glass enclosure, as well as redoing the plumbing, making it neither easy nor budget-friendly.
