"It went great. The pricing is reasonable. The person that showed up was great with customer service and was very knowledgeable. He completed the fence work, remodeled my kitchen including the cabinets, he laid down tiles, repaired my bathroom, did the plumbing, landscaping, and everything. He was able to work around my schedule because I work on a tight shift at my job."

"Home advisor doesn’t have the actual job they did available on the drop down menu, which seems silly. ARMS Plumbing repaired our sewer line under concrete and did a great job at half the price as another local mega-plumber with fancy vinyl-wrapped vans. The order of your bathroom renovation should prevent damage to the completed work. Start with demolition and removing the old fixtures. Then, address structural repairs or water damage, if needed. Next, tackle the rough-in phase for plumbing and electrical work, install waterproofing, and work on wall treatments like tile or paint. Install your shower or bathtub, toilet, vanity, and sink. Flooring goes in after major fixtures but before the toilet. Lastly, install new lighting fixtures, mirrors, and other finishing touches as desired.

When buying caulk, look for ones labeled for tub and tile. These have either acrylic latex or silicone compounds. This allows the caulk to stick to smooth surfaces and prevent mildew from forming. 

A standard bathtub can be used for soaking, but they tend to be shallower (between 15 and 18 inches deep). A soaking tub is designed to be deep enough to totally submerge yourself in the water (about 20 and 24 inches deep). Additionally, most soaking tubs are freestanding, while regular bathtubs come in various styles with drop-in, surround, and wall-mounted options available.

If your bathtub is in overall good shape with minor scratches, discoloration, or just general wear and tear, it's best (and less expensive) to refinish it. 

If your tub has large cracks, is leaking, or is otherwise severely damaged, we recommend replacing it with a new bathtub. Refinishing a bathtub can only fix superficial problems, so these issues will still be present or reappear after a refinishing.
