Customers say: Quick response

"Jeremy was fantastic to work with and has a great eye for detail. He did a tremendous job installing a difficult to work with reclaimed brick tile in my laundry room and kitchen, as well as a geometric patterned cement tile in my bathroom. I would definitely use him again and have already referred him to multiple friends. He was very prompt and on time and was extremely accommodating even when some tile got lost in transit and put him on a two week delay mid job. Do yourself a favor and use Elite Tile."

Electrical, Plumbing, Tile work and installation was all done by Mr. Lyons. It was nice to see the care he took in producing a quality installation. His suggestions on changes was appreciated. My wife and I will be talking to him about additional work."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Yes, your shower pan goes underneath your tiling and helps prevent excess water from seeping into the floor. Without the shower pan under your tile, water will seep through the grout and into the flooring. This will eventually lead to mold growth and serious water damage that could cost thousands of dollars to fix.

Options include clay, concrete, and slate tiles. Each offers unique durability, aesthetics, and costs.

Tiling can be DIY with the right tools and skills, but challenges like ensuring evenness and appropriate adhesion often warrant professional handling.

Glass tiles are among the most difficult to install. This is because their transparency makes the adhesive visible, and any imperfections on the opposite side are also likely to be visible. Glass tiles also must be handled carefully during installation, as they are prone to scratching. For these reasons, glass tiles often require professional installation to get the most out of their beauty and unique look.

It’s easiest to start from an edge as it gives you a straight line. A problem may arise if your edge doesn’t line up perfectly, in which case it’s best to start from the center. Some think that starting tile from the center adds a focal point in the center of the hearth.
