"We hired Smith Handyman Service (SHS( to install a new roof and gutters. We worked with their team to talk about roofing options, quality of materials, installation standards, etc., and the SHS team was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They gave us a fair and competitive bid and addressed all our concerns. As they were removing the old roof shingles near our dormer windows, they found a problem and immediately alerted us to it, carefully showing us exactly how the previous trim had been installed incorrectly, and we were able to see where water had been leaking in over the years. We worked with SHS to come up with the best option and ultimately decided on new shake siding for the dormer windows. Within 1 day of finding the problem, SHS was able to acquire the shakes we selected and had a crew onsite to do the install to take advantage of the nice weather. Now- the roof is done and it's beautiful, the dormers look like new with shake siding, and our family feels safe and secure from the weather - and proud to look at the house when we drive up. "I don't want to be overly critical of the contractor because, ultimately my wife and I were mostly satisfied with the work. We signed our contact on 9/17/2017 to remodel two bathrooms. The salesman said that he was fairly certain that the work would/could be completed by Thanksgiving. After numerous phone calls on my part, and being told "two more weeks" numerous times, the subcontractor showed up on 12/11/17, 2 months and 3 weeks after the contact was signed. The work itself was fairly good but the subcontractor was rushing to get the work done before Christmas. I also was happy to get the work done before Christmas and what few things I immediately noticed that needed fixing the subcontractor fixed. However, as time went by I began to notice somethings that weren't done (i.e. Grout wasn't sealed, paint was somewhat sloppy, particularly around the edges). These I fixed. There was one major thing that I was misled on. I'm a big guy, I specifically wanted a larger(longer) bathtub in my wife's master bathroom. I went so far as to go the American Home Improvement's office and laid down in a display bathtub to be sure I was getting what I wanted. The same salesperson assured me that the larger tub could be fitted into the space of the smaller tub. As I said, I was in a hurry to get to work completed before Christmas and didn't pay attention to the size(length) of the tube. It was about a month before I noticed that the new tub was the same length as the old one. Regardless of the shortcomings, my wife and I liked the vast improvement in the 1970's era bathrooms.Overall the quality of the work was good, which I relayed to the customer service person that I spoke with on the phone before the subcontractor left my house. It was only afterwards that I wished I'd had more time to look more closely at the work that was done. The subcontractor was professional and helpful, and cleaned up after themselves."

"I was very impressed with Sentri Homes - their customer service was excellent. They sent a subcontractor to install some vinyl laminate in my bathroom and he ended up getting glue all over the carpet in our bedroom. The sub ended up ghosting both me and Sentri, leaving me stuck with a ruined carpet. Sentri stuck with me for over a month to get the carpet replaced with the identical original and to get the vinyl job 100% completed. The carpet was a Home Depot exclusive and Sentri handled everything with them. I will be using Sentri for a much bigger renovation I have coming up soon, because I know that they will make sure everything gets done right no matter what problems come up. The vinyl looks great too."
