DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, HIRE THIS COMPANY. Al Debuty, Adam Debuty, Ernest Reeves, and their various and ever-changing workers are dishonest, disrespectful, incompetent, lack attention to detail, are evasive, and produce low-quality work. I cught major mistakes with our new home - dormer framed 3' off-center; roof trusses misdesigned, casuing us to have to alter the floor and incur additional costs; tile installed unevenly; wood flooring sloping and with major deflections (>1" over 3'), walls aren't squared; major deflections in the drywall; numerous code violations with the roof, insulation, and framing; two different color of brick used on foundation; vanities installed crooked; and the list goes on. They should not be in business.

We specifically hired Debuty because Andy told us they did not cault butt joints but would instead use method recommended by Hardie, a process known as flashing joints. After house was over half done, my husband noticed they were not flashing joints as recommended. When we called them on it, they started flashing, but over half the house had not been done correctly. We had to pay our painters to caulk. Andy did give us a discount but we still had to come up with over $1,000 more of our own money to pay for something that should have been part of the original price. Also, flashing is much better because it adds an additional weather barrier between boards, whereas caulking can shrink or deteriorate. So we were not happy with our siding installation. Andy was responsive to our questions and did admit his workers were not using flashing but it didn't fix the situation. Also, we have found over a hundred long and dangerous nails and pieces of trash that his workers let in our yard and mulch beds. Gutters were contracted out but they were installed correctly.

Could not be more pleased.  Very professional workmanship.  Work crew very professional and friendly.  Completed project from start to finish in 5 days.  I would highly recommend this company and will use them for future projects.  Deck is beautiful and exactly what we wanted.

Adam of Debuty Builders came to our house to give a quote to repair some loose siding on our 2nd story home in West Knoxville.  He realized it was a very small job, so he just brought a ladder and fixed it during the quote visit.
I asked how much it was, and he said it was free, so it is hard to argue with that price.  Thanks Adam!

They arrived on time ,did a good job & were very professional. They cleaned up the yard also.

The gentleman we dealt with, Adam, was wonderful.  Very professional and very good to get back to me right away with answers to my questions.  Some of the workers were a little unprofessional and the job took longer than originally stated, but a lot of that was out the company's hands (bad weather, waiting on special order shutters).  Overall, Debuty was a pleasure to deal with, and we would use them again in the future.

They were very prompt and we were very pleased with the work.

They did the work and everything was fine. They were reasonable. They were timely. They did the work when I called them. They returned the call afterwards. They said when the will begin the work and they kept that date. They finished when they said they would finish. They were in line with everybody else. I haven’t had any problems. I have called them many times and they returned my calls. I would use them again in the future.

Contractor handled quote and met with our insurance adjuster twice.  The roofing materials were ordered once we received our insurance check and delivered promptly.  The crew showed up on time and finished in just over a day. The gutters then arrived and a separate visit was made to complete that portion of the project.  All work was done professionally and as promised with very little hassle.  The contractor and crew were very professional.  Though pricey, we felt that the work was quality and would recommend this company to anyone needing a roof.  We had a couple of leaks, but they were attended to right away to our satisfaction.  A quality job.

Project manager was thorough and responsive. He was also certain to get quality materials and repair looks good. Time will tell about overall quality. Remainder of hail repair (Guttering, screens, etc.) is being scheduled and if roof is any indication will be done as committed.

I had Debuty perform repairs on my house from the April 2011 hail storm that swept through Knoxville, TN. The project manager that I dealt with was very knowledgeable, professional, and always returned phone calls in a prompt manner. He explained all the pricing, quotes, and what to expect, all of which was fair.  As per the roofing repair, the final product looked great.  I liked the extra time they spent caulking the nailheads, trimming excess shingles from the edges, and even had the IKO representative comes out to ensure the shingle color would blend. 

The siding replacement portion of the house repair looked good, despite that the original company quite making the same color/size siding.  The project manager did his best to find a match, even though the size was a little larger.  The product was installed as soon as it was shipped.  They had the siding installed, area cleaned, and gone in half a day.  The gutters and downspout look good, and the project manager had the crew come back out to improve  little things that he thought would look better and function better in the long run.  The extra time he took impressed me.

Overall I was happy with the project manager and the final product.  They're not happy unless you're happy.  Not to mention the project manager refuses to leave a site until it meets his final in-depth inspection.  Any issues I had were addressed to the project manager who dealt with them in a professional manner.  Thanks  guys!

After a hail storm hit our area, I was very nervous about trusting the many roofing companies canvasing my neighborhood. After talking to Cole Quinnell, the project manager, I was totally sold on Debuty Builders. Cole explained everything in great detail and was here for the entire project. He found a couple of problems after removing my damaged roof and repaired those issues with no additional expense to me. I could not be more pleased with the job they did. I have a very steep, high roof. The roof looks great and I know it was put on properly with this company.
I would highly recommend them.

This company did a very good job for us.  We were impressed with their professionalism, punctuality and attention to detail.  We have extensive landscaping around our house and the workers were very careful not to damage any of the trees, plants and flowers.  They worked long hours and cleaned up at the end of each day.  We felt the quality of work and materials used were exactly as presented to us when the job was quoted, and they worked extremely well with our insurance company.

We were especially impressed with Debuty project manager Bill Macy, a very professional and pleasant person who kept us informed from start to finish and was onsite during the entire roofing process. 

We have recommended this company to our  friends and neighbors.
