DO NOT HIRE Matt under any circumstances!!! He is a con artist. Hired him to remodel a bathroom. He made zero attempt to waterproof it. The plywood bench in the bathroom he attempted to adhere tiles straight to it without waterproofing. None of the seams in the shower are waterproofed. Did just as poorly with drywall. Did not do the corners correctly, huge gaps. I had to fire him. That moment came after he had spent 2 hours sleeping in his truck in my driveway. A complete disaster. Never let this guy in your house.

We have used Matt Hock for painting kitchen cabinets and door pulls, and installing custom-made cabinet pull-outs. High quality workmanship, prompt work and reasonable price. He helped me evaluate some structural foundation work needed on another house and provided pictures and recommendations on the best way to resolve the issue.

Matthew was very professional in all the work he did. He repaired drywall taping and repairing drywall holes and painting of all the repair work. He provided a reasonable cost and met the agreed schedule keeping us informed of arrival, break and departure times. He also quickly responded to changes in the scope of work with the same professionalism. We highly recommend him.

Matthew was extremely responsive to my texts regarding the repair of my external steps from the deck. n He looked at pictures I provided him and gave me extreme details regarding what he would do to repair by steps. He also quoted a price, which was very reasonable, and when he came to actually see the work, he recommended a couple of minor improvements to be made. He set up a schedule for the work and maintained that schedule. He was prompt, courteous, friendly, and cleaned up every day when he left. He prides himself of restoration work as opposed to tearing everything down and rebuilding. When he finished my project, it was better than when it was new. He also gave a 15 year warranty on his work. I would strongly recommend Matthew Hock, MHC Construction for any decking, porch, or step repairs based upon the work he performed on my project.
