Here are a few examples of what we do. Hardscaping and outdoor patio items: Flagstone walkways, decorative stone load bearing retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, fire pits, fireplaces, decorative flagstone flooring, columns, seating areas and grill areas, we also do decorative stone water features such as fish ponds, water falls and small creeks for drainage or just to add that peaceful look/feel to your yard. We also do some large masonry repairs such as: cracks in brick, block, or stone on your steps or retaining walls, usually caused by water damage and we can help deviate that as well. Outdoor Kitchens questions, answered by experts

How big a fire pit should be depends on how many people you want to get around it on a regular basis, and how big your space is. The average fire pit size is between 36 and 44 inches. However, if you regularly host big gatherings and have the appropriate outdoor space, you can go as big as 72 inches.

Most projects take 2-6 weeks, depending on design complexity and weather conditions.

Summer kitchens can cost anywhere from $1,000 to $50,000 to build. The average price is on the lower end of that range, however, at $15,500. The typical homeowner is more likely to pay between $6,000 and $25,000 than approach the $50,000 mark. Materials for framework, flooring, and countertops are the most expensive type of expenditure, with appliances coming in second. There are a few additional costs that may not immediately come to mind when planning an outdoor kitchen, some of which include: permits, routine maintenance, pest control, and winterization.

In most cases, you will need building permits for an outdoor kitchen. Generally speaking, you’ll need building permits for anything with a permanent foundation, and since outdoor kitchens typically require a concrete foundation, they demand building permits. Outdoor kitchen permits usually cost between $250 and $500, but you could pay as much as $2,000 for larger or more involved kitchens. You might also need separate permits to run utility lines to your kitchen, which could add an additional $75 to $200 to your installation cost.

No. Placing a built-in grill against the house is discouraged due to safety concerns. Building codes and regulations often require a minimum distance (typically 10 feet or more) between a gas grill and any combustible structure, including a house. Placing a grill too close poses a fire hazard and risks damage to the siding or structure, potentially leading to carbon monoxide buildup. It's essential to consult local building codes, follow manufacturer guidelines, and prioritize safety by positioning the grill at a safe distance, ideally in a well-ventilated outdoor kitchen or designated grill area.
