"Robbed, flat out. Took me for supplies, came back with partial (old crap) and then never showed, after weeks of excuses. Wife, supposedly, and himself. Look this guy up, he just robs people and seemingly gets away with it. Also seems to do shoddy work. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. Willing to rip off older people as well. Is he still in the area? Probably moved on to newer hunting grounds."

A-1 Chimney Specialist LLC has been providing the Tullahoma and Winchester, Tennessee areas with quality chimney care since 2000. No matter what your chimney or fireplace needs, we have the knowledge and experience to help! We provide a variety of fireplace and chimney services, including: Chimney Sweeping Chimney Inspections (Levels 1 and 2) Chimney Repairs and Restoration (including chimney relining) Leak Troubleshooting and Repair (including flashing installation and waterproofing) Gas Fireplace Service According to research compiled by the U.S. Fire Administration, there was an average of 50,100 residential fires involving heating appliances each year, from 2008 to 2010. These fires resulted in millions of dollars’ worth of damage and over 100 civilian deaths. One of the best ways to protect your family from being included in these statistics is to have your system regularly maintained and inspected for problems. Regular maintenance can detect problems such as creosote buildup, flue obstructions, and water damage in the early stages of development. If left untreated, all of these problems can lead to fire, inefficiency, smoke or carbon monoxide problems, and structural dangers. At A-1, we know the importance of protecting your home and family from these dangers, and work hard to keep your fireplace and chimney system working efficiently and safely.

"Robert Allen; A-1 Chimney Specialist, came out and looked at the chimney. He took pictures and discussed the options for what needed to be done. Very friendly. I felt at ease not pressured. He explained everything in detail so I could understand. He let me ask questions and gave me straight to the point answers. I was worried about the rain leaking into the carpet. Mr. Allen told me about waterproofing the chimney which I chose. I am on a budget and Thank God; he made a way for me to afford the services. The men came out; sealed both flue tiles with a metal covering and repaired the overhang. The chimney was pressure washed and water proofed with chimney saver. Cold air doesn't come into the house and the heat stays inside the house now. My flowers and plants weren't damaged during the whole process. It rained alot after the waterproofing and overhang was completed. The chimney remained dry inside the house. I prayed for a company that would fix the problem with an affordable price and flexible payment system. My prayers were answered. I recommend using this company. I was given a packet with all the services they perform. I went to their website and did comparisons with other companies before calling A-1 Chimney Specialist."

Chimney Sweep questions, answered by experts

While it’s not completely necessary for them to operate properly, as the occasional rainfall can rinse away dirt and debris, manually cleaning solar panels from time to time can keep them operating more efficiently.

Dirt, debris, pollen, and bird droppings can collect on the surface of the panels. Depending on the amount of solar panels you have, this can add up over time, so set a regular maintenance schedule. Moreover, if you live in a climate with little to no rainfall, more debris can accumulate, causing inefficiencies that would be clear in your electricity bill.

If you’re asking yourself, should you pressure wash your roof, the answer almost always is no. The water pressure that the power washing machine generates could damage the shingles by forcing water underneath or causing them to loosen. Soft washing with a pump sprayer is the better and safer option.

The cost of removing snow from a roof averages between $300 and $700. However, this cost can range from $200 to $3,000, depending on the size of your roof, the amount of snow, and roof accessibility.

Since snowfall can range from light powder to heavy and condensed snow, part of the price of roof snow removal depends on the amount and type of snow. For 12 inches of snow, you can expect to pay between $200 and $2,000 for this job. However, for 24 inches of snow, that price rises to $300 to $3,000.

Clean the outside of your home at least once a year. If you live in an area with salty sea air, high levels of pollen, or an abundance of leaves in the fall, it's helpful to wash it at least two times a year. Frequent cleanings will allow you to remove debris and pests before they flourish into infestations, or cause mold and mildew.

Chemical herbicides will kill moss permanently. The same goes with bleach water. However, moss can start growing again once a new layer of dirt and debris is caught in your sand in paver joints. Therefore, the problem is not about killing moss permanently, but ensuring effective prevention of moss regrowth.
