I am not normally one for in-depth reviews, however my hope is that sharing my experience can help prevent someone from making the same mistakes that I did. I encourage you to be diligent and ask a lot of questions. Do not make assumptions. The process began normally, Kelly with Perfect Roof came out and provided a quote to replace our current roof. At that time, he provided estimated install dates 3-4 weeks out. We got an additional quote and decided to go with Perfect Roof. We emailed Kelly on Monday 11/2 and informed him that we were going with Perfect Roof. Material delivered on 11/4. The roofing crew showed early the next day on 11/5 and began working. Kelly delivered additional supplies that day and drove through our yard and the hitch on his truck gouged our yard. After the day one was complete, I found a receipt in my driveway where one of the roofing crew had purchased alcohol at 6AM the morning our installation started. Next day (11/6) the crew shows to finish the installation and Kelly following as they neared completion. I pointed out where the hitch on his truck had gouged the yard and received a half-hearted apology. Upon returning from walking our dog, I find Kelly’s truck in the yard again. Now along with the gash, I have a set of tires marks with no grass exiting the yard. I work from home and was unable to assess the completed project until later in the day. I made a serious mistake in paying the balance of the charges and signing off prior to doing so. The roofing crew had failed to re-install our gutter screens, left off some of drip edge, bent drip edge, multiple shingles had damage, flashing was not replaced around our chimney, we do not have ridge vents over our 5 dormers (we paid for the time and material, just not installed), exposed roofing nail, wavy ridge venting, adhesive covering strips left on shingles, and no shingles covered the flashing around one of our dormers. One of the new pipe boots is not the correct pitch for where it is installed and looks as if it’s only a matter of time before it fails. Our new HVAC units (roughly 7 weeks old) have multiple scratches and grit from the shingles inside. I’ve found several nails and staples in the yard (to be expected) as well as a razor blade. I complained late that Friday and Perfect Roof sent the same contractor back out on Monday to correct the issues. Kelly with Perfect Roof showed back up Monday morning and did not get on the roof himself to see the issues. In fact, he hasn’t been on the roof one single time. He left the contractor here with me to correct the issues. I have not seen Kelly since. English was not the contractor’s native language. The contractor and I got on the roof and I pointed out the obvious issues. The contractor corrected most of the issues. We still do not have ridge vents on our dormers, wavy/ bent drip edge, wavy ridge venting, and adhesive covering strips still in place in spots. I am by no means a roofing professional, nor should I be expected to be. We spent a substantial amount of money on our new roof and received a substandard installation. Perfect Roof claimed we would be provided a “Bird’s Eye View” of our new roof via drone. I’ve not seen a drone yet. Perfect Roof’s website claims that they are a GAF Master Elite Contractor, this is not true. While they are a GAF contractor, they do not carry the Master Elite designation according to GAF's website. I encourage you to do your homework prior to hiring this company. I went off the web reviews and hope that this helps to keep someone from making the same mistake.
