Jeff Gilley and his crew showed up later than what was previously stated by Jeff. Gilley. The man working on the door frame made a comment about how he don't like having to redo work somebody else has worked on. Said nobody told them the wood was old and rotted; untrue because I told Jeff about the frame and the door. I was taking pictures when the guy finished working on the door frame and noticed the threshold hadn't been removed. I did ask about it but can't remember his reply. As the men were finishing up installing the doors they were complaining about being late to something they had planned for that evening. Later on Mr. Gilley returned with boards for the door frame ( I bought a door with a broke frame at a discounted price) inside and out. The boards weren't the right size as I pointed out to Mr. Gilley. He said the doors weren't in straight, it's a little crooked. Said I can paint around the door frame gaps and the threshold. About a week after, I noticed a gap under the front door; light from the outside showing under the door. I texted and called Mr. Gilley about it. He said he would buy a door sweep and install it but had to finish the job they were already working on. The guy that made the remark about re-doing somebody's work was with him and made a smart remark for them being late when I asked about them being at my house at the appointed time. I won't be using this service again. Mr. Gilley said he could do a better job of installing the doors than Lowe's would. I never asked Lowe's to get a comparison price because I put my trust in his word. I love the doors and so do family and friends. The doors look nice on the house. The threshold and the gaps are noticeable. Never showed up on time even tho it was the time he arranged to come. Update 6/22/18: I rechecked the doors and there's a place by the light switches where the paint was chipped along the door frame. There wasn't any gaps outside the frame so that's why the ratiing has changed. The doors were installed crooked is what Jeff Gilley told me; said it was alright. Inside the house there's one gap that I noticed during installation and it was filled with caulk. I can still see light coming from under the front door. The threshold from the old door wasn't removed. I'm happy with my new doors; not the service. I didn't use Angie's List for this service.
