- Golden Landscapes IrrigationBEWARE OF THIS COMPANY, they are fraudulent. We are reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. In short, we paid $9,000 for a brand new irrigation system in July of 2021 and they installed a 13 year old used or rebuilt back flow valve without the wye strainer. They are not addressing the issue of using a used 13 yr old leaky warped device instead of a brand new one of which we paid. All they need to do, to rectify this situation, is reimburse us $1,165.90 which is more than a fair request and way to remedy their misconduct
- Mid-Tenn TradesClint is very knowledgeable of his chosen career. Great sense of humor yet when it is time for business, business it is. He is quite punctual himself and if there is issue with an appointments or scheduling of his employees he is responsive and informative letting you know something has comeup not waiting til the last minute or later to tell you. His suggestions are pretty much spot on and his design taste are fantastic. He hears what you tell him and if he disagrees he makes other suggestions but ultimately you do get what you want even though he may not agree with your choices (he is usually correct). While he isn't the cheapest quote I got and was close to the most expensive (I had 7 quotes) I am glad I chose him. We did remodel, (kitchen, bathroom, livingroom) repairs, additions, bedroom, 3 bathrooms, dining room, decks, porches, patios, bushes, walkways, interior and exterior lighting, roofing, siding, windows, doors, flooring, appliances, in house storage and organization, a storage shed as well as turned our 2000 sq ft basement into a in-laws living quarters complete with fireplaces, kitchen, baths and bedrooms. We love our new home!!! Thanks to Clint and Mid Tenn Trades!!!!

"The initial quotes for the landscaping work was $5,630.00. The initial quote for the irrigation work was $1,670.00 with the proviso that there may be additional repairs needed that were not readily apparent in the initial inspection. The landscaping work needed was straightforward. My instructions on the irrigation repairs were to change all existing pop-up spray heads from 4" to 6" and to insure that there was coverage of the entire yard. The irrigation repairs were to be completed prior to starting the landscaping, so the new and existing landscaping would be irrigated from day 1. I was pleased with their work, particularly the landscaping work; We added installation of two pallets of sod in areas that need the grass to be renewed. However the irrigation system work was not adequate to give coverage to the entire yard and the 4" pop-up spray heads in one zone were not replaced with 6" heads. Additional money was approved for them to perform that work. I have spent a total of $10,980.00 with Green Scene for the work performed. Due to problems with irrigation coverage of certain landscaping areas, much of the new sod died and five of the new shrubs have died. My yard has never been in such bad shape The primary problems that I experienced with Green Scene was communication and follow-up. The only time I heard from Green Scene was in response to messages from me I was given dates for staring work that were not met and no notice was given. I will likely have to hire another irrigation contractor to get my irrigation system working properly.

"I called the number and was set up for an initial visit immediately (the next day), so that was promising. David was prompt for the initial visit and friendly.

<br /> During this visit, we discussed installing a back patio made of pavers. He said they would need to create a drawing and that it would be charged hourly (at $60 an hour). If you decide to do the work, the fee of the drawing applies to the work (which is more than reasonable). He said it would be ready in 7-10 business days (that's two weeks).

<br /> I approved the work be done on the drawing that same day. And then I waited. And waited. It took more than a month to receive the drawing. I checked in with David, and, to be fair, he checked in with me once to tell me it was coming.

<br /> Once I received the drawing, I was disappointed by the lack of detail. The drawing, while pretty, gave me no additional information than what I received when talking during the initial visit.

<br /> The delay over the drawing, coupled with the warm winter, made me hold off on doing the new patio for this year. (At this point, we don't want to mess up our back yard).

<br /> The price seemed very reasonable, but due to this company's slow response, I would be hesitant to hire them to do the work.
