I am a Journeyman Union Carpenter by trade but after 15 years left it to pursue other things. I have had rental properties and done hundreds of property rehabs and remodels over the years. I have a working knowledge of plumbing and electrical and I take pride in my work. I also rehab and refinish antique wood furniture and build custom furniture out of old wood and recycled materials. No job is too small and I enjoy meeting all the people that this kind of work leads me too.

My primary business is consulting on buildings that have construction defects that allow moisture intrusion, rot, mold, etc. I also work with builders on new buildings to assist in the sequencing and selection of products to prevent moisture intrusion, promote long-term building performance, ie., concrete curing, roof flashing, window and door installation, moisture barriers, basement waterproofing, etc.

"Robbed, flat out. Took me for supplies, came back with partial (old crap) and then never showed, after weeks of excuses. Wife, supposedly, and himself. Look this guy up, he just robs people and seemingly gets away with it. Also seems to do shoddy work. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. Willing to rip off older people as well. Is he still in the area? Probably moved on to newer hunting grounds."

"If you want a company that only does half the job they were hired to do, then by all means hire this one. We hired them to repair our pool stairs and they only did two of the three. When the third stair cracked they came out and repaired it and then sent out a bill for another $500. For $2000.00 we could have replaced the steps. It all is chipping away and to beat all of this, the guy stepped on our liner and teared it off the steps. Now we are replacing a 1 year old liner and the company's response was it's our word against theirs. Do yourself a favor a stay away from this company. They maybe the only ones around Knoxville, but it isn't worth your money"

Heat can help plaster dry faster, but it's very easy to get too much of a good thing. When exposed to high heat during the curing process, plaster can dry out too quickly, leading to cracks and affecting the material's integrity. If your premixed drywall mud is dried out or has begun to set in the bucket, you may be able to revive it by adding warm water and stirring. However, the first and most important step is to scrape off any hard, dried bits of drywall that may have accumulated toward the top of the container and throw them away because they will not easily reconstitute back into the drywall mud mix.

How long it takes to repair a ceiling depends on the extent of the damage. Patching a small hole might only take a few minutes, while repairing a water-damaged section of the ceiling could take hours. If there are structural issues, expect your ceiling repair to take several days or longer.
