Tim helped me choose the right sized unit and didn't try to oversell me. In fact he got me a unit that was discounted because it was the last model year. The crew did a great job and the price was right.

They came out when they said they would and were very detailed and professional. I would certainly use them again. This "big deal" was very much a good deal.

He was very thorough.  Replace a few bad parts, added some refrigerant, cleaned the coils.  There are some bad parts on the heat coils.  Since the unit is 23 years old and I'm considering replacing it, he recommended holding off until the fall.  I was extremely pleased.  He was courteous, professional, and explained everything to me.  I will definitely be purchasing my new unit from this vendor.

Provider checked out upstairs HVAC unit, advised that I had a freon leak (which was true... had leaked for awhile, and was getting worse. I had previously managed to get through a cooling season with one charge, but it didn't get me through an entire season this time). The tech charge the unit with freon at the agreed price per pound of freon (which was an honest amount, compared to prior freon servicings with other vendors.)  We discussed brands, SEERs and prices on a future replacement.
Tech was knowledgeable, courteous, was fast (compared to my overall experience with tradesmen). 
My house was blessed with a direct lightning strike during an electrical storm, so insurance covered the replacement (less deductible of course). I hired Smith's Heating and Cooling for the replacement & even though insurance covered the cost, their quote was HALF of the BIG HVAC firms in the area.
These guys DO NOT wear fancy clean uniforms, and they dont have a huge marketing budget like some of the "name-brand" providers in the area. But I can tell you the quality of work and equipment is just as good or better than the big advertising HVAC forms, but a roughly HALF the price.
I recommend these guys to everyone.

They were fast and everything went well.

Tim was great to work with and his crew were very well versed in the
problem with my AC Unit.  They ended up changing the AC Coil and adding
coolant.  I will use them again for any work on my AC Unit.

We had several companies come to our home after we returned from vacation. Everyone told us our compressor was dead and it was going to be thousands for a new unit. Tim from Smiths asked if my unit had been leaking freon (which it hadn't) he recommended we replace the entire condensing unit with a new used one giving us time to save up for a new unit in the spring (the heat portion works fine). Tim's guys came out installed the new 'used' condenser unit for less than 300 dollars - we have air, we have heat - Smith's has a customer!

Tim knows how to run a great business. He took time to ask questions and listen to my concerns before we scheduled the appointment. He told me Mike would be coming and when to expect him.
Mike showed up on time and completed work as expected. He answered all of my questions and explained everything he did. We discussed my future options and how to get the most life out of my current air unit.
I was charged a fair price for the work provided and was never pressured or stressed at any point. I'm very happy that I have found a great company that I will continue to use and would recommend to anyone. 
I wish more companies were like Smith's Heating and Cooling!

They have good service.  They're prompt; when I called them up they send somebody over to give an estimate.  They half done the job pretty quickly and have a good prices.  They did a good job.

Good communications, never left me wondering what to expect. Service personnel was professional, but not "corporaty." Market price for freon (no problem with that, btw).  Service tech shared what was wrong with my unit, but never was pushy to get it done.

My unit wasn't keeping my house cool at all even while it was cool outside so I called smiths based on Angies list reviews and Im very glad I did.  When I first called I got a good impression and told them I wasn't in a huge hurry since it wasn't all that hot out yet but they still fit me in same day on a Saturday.  The man who came out was very friendly and helpful in explaining the situation and even gave me good tips for the future of my unit.  I was thankful I didn't need to replace my unit and it just needed freon.  I will be sure to call them out for anything HVAC related in the future.  

Outstanding service and Tim actually repaired an issue that was supposed to be taken care a year ago by another vendor. The other vendor apparently didn't hook up the unit correctly and could have caused a big problem in our basement but Tim Smith was able to fix it correctly and update all of our units- their working great and he is truly a professional you can count on.
