"Jerry was able to stretch and clean 28 yr old carpet and make it feel and look like new carpet. He knew how to clean mohawk silk strand carpet. The dealer, where we bought it, did not know how to clean it. It looks like we just had it installed. We think he’s the best ever! Very professional, friendly, and fairly priced."

"Our hardwood flooring was dark, badly scratched in a few areas, and had sun bleached discoloration in the dining room.  The living room carpet was dirty and ugly, and we much prefer hard surface flooring over carpeting.  Much of our furniture is large and heavy, including a piano and treadmill.  Grigore came and measured the rooms, assuring us that his men could and would move the furniture for us.  Grigore was prompt at sending us an estimate.
We did the project in 2 phases; first the hardwood floors, then the laminate.  Within a few days, Alex and Vadim began work on the floors.
The young men were professional, courteous, and respectful of our home and the things in it.  They moved items with care and without causing scratches or damage.  All base molding was painted after the flooring was finished.  The hardwood flooring is gorgeous!
Grigore brought samples of high quality laminate flooring, and within a few days of our choice, his men were back to replace carpet in my quilt studio (a large room with 2 longarm quilting machines) and our exercise room (where the treadmill and other things live).  They did both rooms, start to finish, including painting the base molding, in only one day.  It was a long day for them, and we were happy to let them work until nearly 8:00 PM to finish. It is all too rare to see such diligent workers, and it is a pleasure to give my enthusiastic recommendation to this company.

"We couldn’t be more pleased with the service, quality and pleasant nature of the crew from the moment the appointment was made, to the end of the service. With years of stains on our carpet, we were pleasantly surprised that ReNew was able to make our carpet look like new again without breaking the bank. We will use ReNew Carpet Cleaning again and I highly recommend their service!"

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on carpet quality, labor, underlayment, and furniture moving requirements.

Installing carpet on stairs involves a lot more cutting, tucking, tack strips, and time. The shape of your staircase, along with the material and construction of the carpet you’re installing, will also increase the cost. Carpet installation on stairs will cost $400 to $800 in total, but it can go as high as $2,500 for difficult staircases, such as wrap-around, upholstered, or spiral staircases.

Carpet glue is very sticky, but it's not permanent. The glue usually lasts as long as a typical carpet installation, which is five to 15 years. For the best results, you should always use the right type of carpet glue for the area you're using it in. There are carpet glues for high-traffic areas, which are more high-quality and durable than others.

The difference between a 40-oz. and 60-oz. carpet is the carpet face weight, meaning the 60-oz. carpet weighs 20 ounces more per square yard. When looking at two similar carpets of the same material and type, the 60-oz. carpet face weight likely indicates higher quality and more durability due to heavier carpet fibers.

In most cases, carpeting isn’t kind to the wood that it’s attached to. Most carpet installation uses adhesive or nailing strips, both of which will damage wood. Conversely, you can choose to use an adhesive designed to be removed from wood, in which case carpeting can actually protect your hardwood stairs.
