"Ron Pope and his team at Critter Control of East Tennessee provided a prompt response to my call for help with a pest problem and then performed a thorough analysis of the matter to determine that the pest problem was caused by squirrels. They provided a solution that would prevent the problem from occurring again and then went through a removal process followed by some roof repair and the removal /replacement of a damaged roof ridge vent. The entire matter was handled professionally and cordially. This was my first experience of this nature but Ron Pope did a great job in educating me about it from analysis through resolution and then performing exactly as he indicated he would. Ron and his Critter Control of East Tennessee team are the solution to any pest related problem one might have and I strongly encourage those with similar problems to contact Ron immediately. You won't be disappointed!!"

"We had a critter in between our lower level drywall ceiling and our upper level wood floor that we could hear gnawing incessantly every night for 3 nights in a row and then it just stopped. I called some "exterminating" companies but no one would go up in the attic because we don't have a floor up there or pull down steps...what?!!...I was shocked!! Isn't the attic and the basement or crawlspace the prime location for pests to run amuck?!! And if I had a floor up there, wouldn't it be a bonus room?! Anyway, even though we were not hearing the problem in the attic, I still wanted it checked out to be sure the critter hadn't gnawed through whatever it was working on and relocated! I was so frustrated. I can't even remember what I googled but Classic Wildlife Control came up and boy am I glad!! I called in the afternoon and Doug came out the very next morning!! He was neat and professional, listened to all my ramblings and even put booties over his work boots to come inside! He did a thorough inspection and then discussed our options. I immediately felt at ease with him because he wasn't trying to sell me any contracts or guilt me into buying anything like some of the other companies I contacted. He simply told me what to do to help determine if we had critters coming in and out of the suspected areas and to call him in a couple of days to let him know and he would come back and set traps or we could close off the holes and rest at ease. We also knew that our bird netting at the gables inside the attic was coming off at both ends, another reason I was adamant about someone checking out the attic, and Doug explained that they use wire mesh netting on the outside of the gables and paint it to match your house because if it is in the attic, you cannot tell if it is ever damaged by something trying to get in because you most likely don't spend a lot of time in your attic (unless it has a floor and pull down stairs I guess! lol) and also it is much harder for a critter to push through the mesh when it has the support of the outside of the house instead of when it is simply stapled from the inside...I hadn't thought of that! So needless to say, he is going to be installing that in the next few days! What a wonderful experience all around. Great guy, very knowledgeable and full of common sense which is, unfortunately, not so common these days!! Thanks Doug and Angie's List!! "
"We were having issues with raccoons coming into our backyard, back porch and getting into the trash cans outside. They were also getting a little too comfortable coming around us as well. Thanks to Unaka Wildlife Control, those raccoons are no longer a problem."

"When they came, we evidently had chimney swifts in our chimney and they couldn't remove them (by law due to it being an endangered species). By the time the birds were gone and we called them back, the coupon had expired. "
They can have a deterrent effect on birds to some extent. The reflective surfaces of these objects, such as aluminum foil strips, CDs, or reflective tape, create flashes of light and movement that can startle or confuse birds temporarily. However, some birds can become accustomed to these visual disturbances over time and might adapt their behavior accordingly. For a more sustained solution, combining shiny objects with other deterrent methods shared here is often beneficial for creating a more comprehensive and effective strategy for bird control.
Set live traps or install a one-way door to evict squirrels, rodents, and other animals from your attic. Once they’re out, seal any entry points to prevent the animals from returning. If you’re dealing with an infestation, call a pro.
Certain strong smells may help repel bats, though this is not a foolproof method and is best used in conjunction with other deterrence strategies. Scents like peppermint oil, eucalyptus, cinnamon, cloves, and mint are often suggested as natural remedies. To create a spray, you can mix two cups of warm water with half a cup of sugar and a few drops of your preferred essential oil. Apply this mixture using a spray bottle to possible entry points and throughout the affected area, such as an attic. While this home remedy is popular, evidence supporting its effectiveness is limited.
Popular nesting areas outside of a home include eaves, porches, gutters, and chimneys. However, some birds can make their way into your attic or ventilation systems. A reputable removal service will inspect your home's interior and exterior for any evidence of roosting and nesting birds while they prepare to remove them.
Maintain sealed entry points, use deterrents like spikes or sonic devices, and keep areas clean to discourage nesting.
