"It is rare to find a quality craftsman with a great work ethic. Jayme West is one of them. He was always on time and asked us for our opinion when something could be done in different ways. Jayme has all of the right tools to do the job correctly. So very pleased with the floor. He will be coming back to do the back splash and maybe some other projects someday. It is so nice to have met him and now I have someone I can trust to hire again."

"They were very professional, offered free touch ups. We asked them to do a second floor and they came out the same day. My floors look better than when they were first put in! I would recommend Precision Grout Masters to anyone!"

"I called on Sat and owner told me who would be calling to repair the granite along with description and truck he drove to feel comfortable. The employee never called so called owner Sunday late afternoon. She apologized and they came out Monday as scheduled. There were multiple chips and rough areas on granite by the sink and the job done was very good. And the price included a travel fee of @75.00 and was still very reasonable. I highly recommend them."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

The best types of tiles for a shower are ceramic and porcelain tiles. These materials are durable, water-resistant, and easy to maintain, making them ideal for wet environments. Porcelain tiles are slightly more durable than ceramic. Both options come in a wide variety of styles, so you can achieve the perfect look for your bathroom.

Tile removal costs about $2 to $7 per square foot unless you do it yourself. When you hire a pro, tile installation costs $5 to $45 per square foot. Costs vary widely, but they depend on the tile material (custom-made stone tiles cost significantly more than plain ceramic tile), location, and tile size.

Yes, but you should only put tile directly on drywall in smaller areas that don’t experience excess moisture. For example, a small kitchen tile backsplash could work, but installing tile directly on the drywall in a bathroom or other chronically damp area is not a good idea. Either way, a cement backer board is a far more reliable solution, as drywall is susceptible to moisture and can warp or cause your tiles to crack.

For best results, you should remove the toilet in a bathroom before removing tile or installing new tile. If you don’t remove the toilet, it will be harder to fully waterproof the tile around the toilet, which could increase the risk of mold growth or plumbing leaks. If you have trouble removing the toilet, hire a plumber to help.

Grout and caulk are commonly used together, especially in bathrooms. Grout goes between the tiles and keeps them sturdy and in place on the walls or floor. Caulk goes in corners or where two different materials meet (like where the bathtub meets the tile) to create a waterproof seal. However, they are not interchangeable—you shouldn't use caulk to adhere tile and shouldn’t use mortar if you need a waterproof seal.
