"It went smoothly because (1) the room was prepared before the Provider's arrival; and (2) the Provider was very efficient.  It took longer than I expected, because the Provider had to allow the liquid cleaner to dry before he good polish with a fluffy mop.  I suspect that he was supposed to use the waiting period to sell me some liquid cleaner or sell me a periodic contract for his Company to clean my hardwood floors or, perhaps, to sell me on contracting the service for the other rooms that had a hardwood floors.  He talked about all of the services provided by the Company, but did not pressure me to buy their cleaner or their service. I was thankful.  It made the afternoon more pleasant.  I will keep the Company in mind, for I need some more work done in the dining room, but their regular charges, while reasonable, are expensive.
