"The drainage and prep work for my asphalt driveway done by Wyatt Close left me with 6 inches of mud that he caused to slide into my garage. He made no attempt to clean up the mess he caused. He also personally hit my main water line into the house and broke it. I was left to get rid of 40 tons of contaminated gravel and wash mud out of my new garage. He left me his mini excavator and told me I would figure it out on my own. I received a bill ($2000) for the use of his equipment to fix the damage he caused. His was below substandard and he kept informing me that the mud in the garage was my fault. He claimed he was going to make it right ... Instead he whined about his equipment being dirty and blamed the situation on me. Wyatt Close is the most unprofessional individual I have ever had to work with. However, if you enjoy being lied to and your property destroyed, he's the guy you want."

A tree can grow back from its stump, but full regrowth is unlikely (especially for more stubborn conifer trees). Instead, trees are more likely to send up a number of shoots from the dead stump, which will try to develop into primary stems over time. In other words, it will start to look increasingly bushy. The goal of killing and drying out a tree stump is to prevent that from happening, as well as make the stump easier to completely remove.

It is possible to burn out a tree stump if it is dried out and in an area of your property with a large buffer. Drill holes in the stump and dig around the base so it burns more easily. Then, build a small campfire on top using kindling and firewood. You’ll need enough to keep the fire going for many hours to completely burn out the stump, especially if it’s large. 

Monitor the fire closely to ensure it doesn’t spread, and have a hose on hand if it starts to get out of control. When the fire is out, break apart the burned stump and dig out what’s left of it.

A tree can split because of high winds, a change in temperature, or from an infestation or tree disease. All of these factors can overlap, making a single cause difficult to pinpoint. Ivy eventually kills trees by restricting its growth, blocking sunlight, absorbing nutrients and water from the soil, and weakening the tree. Trees with ivy are more likely to experience diseases, pests, rot, and fungi growth. When ivy weighs down tree branches, the tree is more likely to break during a storm and cause damage.
