"Ryan was an excellent contractor. He is such a gentleman and such a professional. He was very detailed and what he did and very knowledgeable. He is what I call a truly knowledgeable professional. He knows what he’s doing and he does a fantastic job and he cleans up after his job is done. I can’t be happier that I hired him to cut down a tree and trim some additional trees. He truly knows what he’s doing and he takes pride and what he does and he’s so good at listening to what you want done and delivering exactly what you told him to do. I can’t be happier to have such a young gentleman to my work again simply put he does a fantastic job and I couldn’t be happier with the work that he did. Thank you Ryan for a job well done."

"The trees were removed as agreed to and the stumps ground.  The crew cleaned up all the debris including the stump chips, leaves, and sticks.  They repaired any damage to the lawn as well.  Other than the evidence where stumps used to be there the crew left the yard as they found it - very little saw dust and no other lawn damage.

We were very pleased with the work performed by Kirby Tree Care.  Kerry and his workers were very professional and worked hard to get the job done safely and in a timely manner.  We would recommend their services and would definitely use them again.

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

It enhances property aesthetics, improves tree health, and prevents safety hazards.

In most cases, leaving tree roots underground is not a problem if the stump has been removed or ground below the soil. However, some larger roots may decompose, leaving dents in your soil. Additionally, some aggressive trees, including willows, oaks, elms, maples, and poplars may grow back from roots. Large aggressive trees with established root systems are more likely to grow back.

Cutting down a tree next to power lines is never a DIY job, and it’s a good idea to contact your utility company first. In most cases, the utility company will need to take care of any tree problems within 10 to 15 feet of power lines. If you want to remove the tree for aesthetic reasons, hire a pro to do the job. Trying to cut trees near power lines yourself can create many safety hazards, and you could be liable if you inadvertently cause damage to electrical equipment.

You can never truly stop a maple tree from growing taller, but you can rein in its growth by pruning. Proper pruning helps maintain a safe size for your tree without causing permanent damage. It’s important to start pruning a tree while it’s young, long before it becomes a problem. Otherwise, you may be left with too many hazardous branches to remove at once.

Using Epsom salt to kill a tree stump typically takes between six and 12 months. While this may seem like a long time, it is significantly faster than the natural decomposition process, which can take up to seven years. This method is a viable DIY option for stumps that do not pose an immediate hazard. If you need a faster solution, you can hire a professional for stump removal or grinding, though this may cause more damage to the surrounding ground.
