Keith's Plumbing and Electrical is a one man operation supported by the knowledge and guidance of the older generation. My grandfather, uncle and father have been involved with plumbing and electrical for decades now. My family owns Benton County Plumbing & Electrical located at 2800 Hwy 70E, Camden, TN 38320. I grew up working with my father and now would like to strike out on my own with their guidance and knowledge backing me. I can give you a couple of guarantees. I will do fair and honest work for you. I will charge you a fair price and take all factors into consideration when giving you a estimate. I will make sure the work I do for you is done properly, no matter how long it takes. If the work I've done malfunctions as a result of my neglect, I will come back out and correct the mistake, free of charge. I am interested in doing residential plumbing and electrical jobs. These could include fixing leaks throughout the house, whether it be a fitting that is leaking, a faucet, sink, etc. I could install outside frostproof yard hydrants. Inside kitchen or bathroom faucets, tub faucets, and toilets. These could include troubleshooting electrical problems, like receptacles not working, breakers constantly tripping, installing new lights throughout any part of the house, outdoor lights for the house or a shop. My uncle and grandfather have experience in welding and carpentry work, so I would definitely be willing to look at some jobs in those areas as well. If I don't feel comfortable doing the job, I will get you some numbers to reliable individuals that will take care of you. I hope you will choose me to take care of your plumbing and electrical needs

Residential and business water treatment systems. Water softeners, UV lights. We will analyze your water for contaminants such as chlorine, low pH, iron, bacteria, and devise a system to suit your needs. Treat your water from the source, as it enters your home, so whether you are drinking it, cooking with it or bathing in it, your water is pure.

"The process was quick and easy. I just provided a water sample. It was determined that I had high levels of chlorine in our drinking water. I was able to solve my water problems with only one filter. Why did I wait years to have this done? Now I can be confident that our water is safe. Highly recommended."

Wells and Pumps questions, answered by experts

The cost to fix low water pressure heavily depends on the cause of the problem. In some cases, all you need to do is open a valve, which won't cost you anything. However, plumbing repairs cost an average of $325, so if you have a broken pipe or other plumbing problems, you might pay something close to that figure, or more, depending on the issue.

Here are some signs of a bad well pump that a pro should look at:

  • If your well pump isn’t pumping water, you could have a leak or malfunctioning pump on your hands.

  • If your water pump runs nonstop, there might be a leak or problem with the pressure tank, which can cause the pump to fail.

  • Low water pressure can happen because of your pressure tank, low-water levels, or a wrong-sized pump.

  • Dirt or sediment in your water can be a problem with a powerful pump, damaged pump filter, or the pump’s location.

For the most part, choosing between 30/50 psi and 40/60 psi is based on your water-pressure preference. However, it can also depend a little bit on your house—if you have older plumbing, a lower water pressure can be easier on the pipes (and a bit more gentle on your well pump).

The lower 30/50 pressure is usually enough for a single-story home, but you may want 40/60 if you have multiple stories, as the extra pressure helps water flow smoothly up to the second floor.

How do you set your well’s pressure tank? All you need to do is first drain the tank of water and find the pressure switch. Remove the switch cover and adjust the switch with a wrench—clockwise to increase water pressure, and counter-clockwise to reduce it. Each complete turn of the nut on the switch should equal 2.5 psi. Once this is done, replace the switch cover. All that’s left is to adjust the pressure of the tank itself using an air compressor and a tire gauge to support the new setting.

If you’re going away on vacation or leaving your home for a long time, it’s a good idea to switch off your well pump and pressure tank before you go. This way you can prevent any damage from unexpected leaks that may occur or unforeseen electrical issues while you’re away.
