When you are searching for a lawn care company there are certain qualities you just have to have, professionalism, affordability, reliability and prompt service. Weavers Lawn care embodies all of these characteristics while conveniently serving from Byrdstown, TN to the Cookeville, TN area. Your satisfaction is guaranteed. We have been in the lawncare business for 38 years. We started in Florida in 1988 and when we moved to Tennessee 20 years ago we continued to provide our town and townships near to us a service that resonates above quality work. My son has worked for the horticulture department at Disney and then graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelors degree in Agronomy and Agriculture. His understanding of soils, and basic weed and plant science helps greatly.

"Very friendly, professional and do a very good job. Reasonable price and even make sure you're happy before they left."

Lawns questions, answered by experts

Several signs indicate that your lawn may require aeration. If you notice water pooling or runoff after rainfall, it suggests poor water infiltration, and aeration could help. Compacted soil may cause grass to thin out, turn yellow, or struggle to grow. Additionally, the presence of a thatch layer, which is a buildup of dead grass and debris, can indicate aeration is needed to alleviate thatch and promote healthier grass growth. Monitoring these signs can help you determine when your lawn would benefit from aeration.

In most cases, it is worth paying for professional lawn care. DIY lawn maintenance is possible, but it can get extremely time-consuming, especially to make your property look well-maintained. Not only is lawn maintenance time-intensive, but it can also get expensive, even to DIY, especially considering the cost of fuel and maintenance for your lawn care tools. Professional lawn care services average around $100 per service, making it a relatively inexpensive investment, especially for how much time it saves you.

Mow before aeration. After you've aerated the lawn, you can fertilize, water, and overseed. But wait at least two weeks after aeration before you mow.

Yes, you can overwater your grass. Depending on your climate, it could be easier than you think. While water is an essential element for lawn growth, too much of it can actually damage its roots, leading to rot and other damage.

Whether your drip irrigation system leaks, it’s been a rainy summer, or you use the sprinkler too often, overwatering your lawn can drive up your water bill and impact the longevity of your lawn.

Aeration can level your lawn if the issue is minor soil compaction, so it can help smooth things out if your yard is bumpy from foot traffic or vehicle traffic. However, it won’t slope your yard. If you have small areas where water seems to pool after precipitation, aeration could help, but larger issues with improperly sloped lawns and problems leading to foundation leaks or structural damage will require more comprehensive solutions.
