They were great and even was able to get to my job a couple months before they estimated originally.

AJs Tree Service was on time and carefully removed the two large trees " tree stumps were greater than 3 foot diameter" They had a fence on two sides and a house on the other and an adjacent storage building so they used a bucket truck and cut and roped the branches down. They also used some rather high tech equipment to move the downed branches and place them into the schreader " the machine they used was a cool little tracked vehicle with grabber arms". I also noticed they were very safety oriented and used safety chaps and helmets with built in radios for cumminication. After cutting down and removing the trees they raked and cleaned up all the leaves abd small branches.they told me the stump grinder would be here 3 days later and he arrived on time and ground and removed all the sawdust and chips and used a leaf blower and rake to remove the debris.

They did a good job and they're very responsive. They came on that day and did it all at once. The guy was very experienced. He was prompt, straight forward. He did the job in a promptly fashion.

Excellent! We received an estimate the day after we called. We had 4 other estimates and A.J's bid was competitive. We needed the job completed ASAP as I travel on business. A.J.'s was able to start the following Tuesday. The communication was great leading up to the job as well as on-site They showed up on time with a great "can do" attitude that continued throughout the job. We were most impressed with the work ethic of Matt. In addition, we added some work and Matt was able to move a few things around and get this done for us. Last but not least, the safety practices we observed were outstanding including the safety gear used by all crew members and the sawing techniques and felling techniques were by the book - it was clear that A.J.s takes safety very seriously. We will definitely use A.J.'s again.

I called from Angie's list, they came out to determine my needs, gave me an estimate of cost and time. They returned as promised, did the job and left my lawn in great shape.

Got an estimate in July, had to wait a few weeks, but not an emergency so wait was not a problem. Did a very nice job cleaning up when done.

It took several days to receive a return call. Once I finally talked to the owner, the work was completed in 2days. The work was good, but I felt the price was a little high.

Guys showed up when they said. Went right to work. Did an excellent job. Cleaned everything up. Sure a person could get it done a little cheaper but why take a chance with someone who is uninsured or unknown. Good job.

I called and left a message and they got back to me quickly. I received an estimate the next day, and they stated they would schedule me within 2 weeks. They scheduled me within a week and came out while my husband and I were at work. They did a wonderful job on all 4 Bradford Pears, they look wonderful. They shaped them very nicely, and because they couldn't get their truck out in the back yard, they cut that tree and shaped it by hand. They also cut down a dead Cherry tree, and although the guy that ground out the stumps was not there that day, he did come out later in the week to finish the job. The workers cleaned up very well, and didn't leave any debris behind. I found the price very reasonable considering how very large my trees were. Overall I am very pleased with their work and would highly recommend them. I will definitely use their services again, as I have other work I will need done in the future.

They are a good tree service. I used them several time last year. They were very professional.

They first came and gave us an estimate on the work. Due to a major storm in the area that week, they asked us to postpone our work so that they could help those with storm damage. Since our work was not an emergency, that was okay with us. We then set a date, they came on time and completed the work as we had discussed. Their work was professional and we have no complaints. We would use them again in the future.

AJ's Tree Service did exactly what we wanted, when we wanted it and at a fair price. They were professional, personable, did a wonderful job and we are very satisfied. As we live on a 5 acre piece of property with many, many trees, we just may need their services in the future and will not hesitate to call. An added plus is that they are almost neighbors!

As usual, I found this service on Angie’s List. Again, I was not disappointed. I contacted the company a few months back to have two trees pruned in front of my house. The dispatcher said she would have someone contact me shortly to arrange an appointment to provide a quote. A short while later, Matt Bratton (the owner) called and asked when I would be available. As I was available that morning, we agreed on a time and he arrived promptly. Quite the personable gentleman, you could tell he surveyed arboreal issues with a keen eye pointing out issues I had seen but didn’t understand. As I had two fast-growing maples in a small yard with roots growing out of the ground on one. Unfortunately, it was in proximity to my water line from the street. Matt told me he could certainly prune them but that interference with the water line was a possibility in a few years. I knew what that could cost! He recommended removal of one tree and suggested alternative plantings. When I asked if his company did removals he said they did and stump grinding, as well. His hands were in the dirt on the other tree showing me at what level mulch should be and why. Pointing out how water effects the trunk, etc. This is a hands-on guy. He also checked-out two other trees I had in back but said they were fine. He provided a written price quote (very fair) and suggested the work be done when the trees are dormant. I agreed and later signed the quote and e-mailed it to him. I guess I thought he’d come later in winter but called a few weeks back saying my work was on the calendar and asking when he could come by. As I am on the road, I told him he could schedule it at his leisure. He said he’d be there the next Monday. When I returned this week, I saw the work had been done very professionally. The tree was removed and the ground is flat and level. No debris had been left. The other tree was pruned nicely. I received his invoice in the mail this week and happily cut his check today. This is a nice guy and a professional - very easy to work with. I know anyone would be as pleased with him and his work as I was.

Overall, it was an excellent experience. I can't say enough good things about the company. They were very personable. The owner himself came out and did the estimate. The guy that came out and did the work was professional, terrific, and just friendly. They do good work and I would recommend them to anyone.

Matt was great. He gave me a good price because others in the neighborhood were using him as well. He basically threw in trimming one for the trees for free. They showed up when they said they would. His workers did a great job cleaning up after themselves too.
