"Joe did an amazing job! I had my kitchen and family room painted (walls, ceiling, and trim). Joe is very professional, easy to work with, and affordable. You can tell that he really cares about making his customers happy. I highly recommend Schubert Painting for all of your painting needs. I will be using Schubert Painting again, in the near future, as Joe refinishes kitchen cabinets too."

"Michael was prompt and knowledgeable about the exterior painting project. Even though there was a glitch in equipment he had an alternate plan and finished when he predicted and cleaned up the work area. Priced reasonably . I would highly recommend him. In the future I would hire him again if the need arises."

"Grayson and his crew did a quality job painting our entire interior, walls and ceilings. Grayson came back to check with us after a couple weeks to see if he needed to do any touch up after we finished moving in. We only found a couple very small things and he took care of them immediately."

Interior Painting FAQs, answered by experts

Most handy homeowners can tackle removing texture from unpainted walls. Removing texture from painted walls is a bit trickier. Paint acts as a sealant, so you can’t soften the texture with water. Instead, you’ll have to add a layer of drywall compound known as a skim coat. This process is messy and takes some practice.

WD-40 can help remove paint on wood floors, but use it cautiously. Start with a small amount and let it sit for a few minutes, then gently scrape the paint off using a plastic (not metal) scraper. You may want to test it first on a hidden area to ensure it doesn't damage the finish. Professional products specifically designed for hardwood may be a better choice for large or stubborn paint spots.

Yes, you can pressure wash epoxy floors, but you must take precautions to avoid damaging the surface. While most epoxy floors can be cleaned with a mop, you might choose to pressure wash if the floor is stained, has ground-in dirt, or is covered with mold or mildew. To do so safely, first soak any stains or dirty areas with a gentle cleanser. Use a lower pressure setting with a gentle nozzle, such as a green, white, or black tip, or a 45-degree angled tip. Keep the spray nozzle at least 18 inches away from the floor to protect the surface. Using a surface cleaner attachment or a rotary scrubber can also help prevent overspray. Be cautious if using a power washer that heats the water, as the combination of heat and pressure may be too powerful and could damage the epoxy coating.

Yes, vinegar can remove polyurethane from wood, but it is a slow, inefficient, and inconsistent restoration method. Whatever your intention, it’s best to avoid using vinegar on wood with a polyurethane finish—though it can be an effective cleaner for other wood finishes.

Yes, WD-40 can be used to remove dried paint, including spray paint, from surfaces like metal because it acts as a solvent. To use this method, spray enough WD-40 to completely cover the paint and let it sit for five to ten minutes. Afterward, gently scrub the area with a cloth to remove the paint. Be aware that this method might leave behind a greasy film that can attract dirt.
