The three most common types of asphalt are hot asphalt, MC cold mix, and UPM asphalt.

UPM is also used cold, but it can be used as a longer-term fix, usable in almost any conditions at almost any temperature.
If you don’t want to seal the entire driveway using a squeegee, you can use a roller instead. Rolling the driveway sealer also provides an even, sufficient coating, although it might require more skills to control the speed and pressure. We don’t recommend spraying the driveway sealer because it would cause more splash, hence wasting more material. If anything, you may spray the sealant and go over the surface again with a squeegee to ensure proper coating.
There are more pros than cons, but there are a few disadvantages to sealing your driveway to be aware of. Sealant can make the surface slippery, which can be a hazard, especially when the driveway gets wet. Look for sealants with abrasive additives to help counteract this. You’ll also need to remember to reapply your sealant every two years and budget for the expense that comes with it.
