We provide Long Distance Moves across the entire country, directly from our West Coast HUBS located in AZ, CA, OR and WA. Or, we team with our partner companies to complete moves together. We are proud to provide a service that no other company offers; Dedicated Trucks. This means that your belongings are loaded on the truck and not combined with anyone else’s items (from/to west coast only). They are not transferred to other trucks or facilities in route which causes damage and loss of items (typical with van lines). We have a set loading day and unloading day. This is by far the safest way to ship. Our interstate rates are per 24ft moving van that holds up to 8,500lbs or 1400CuFt. Some customers require one truck and some require more. One truck holds the average 1800SqFt.

If you hire a professional and reputable piano mover, you should have to do minimal prep work. Most movers will pack and protect your piano as necessary, so you don’t need to worry about that. Instead, use the following tips for a smooth relocation:

  • Get children and pets out of the house for the day to avoid accidents and distractions

  • Clear a wide path from your piano to the exterior

  • Prepare means of propping open doors leading outside

  • Pull the moving vehicle up to the home’s exit

Your furnace rests at the center of one of the most complicated infrastructures in your home. Air intakes, ducts, water, electricity, and sometimes gas connect up to the system. Most of these lines were run to this point specifically to service the furnace, so they’ll need to be closed up and new ones established.  A furnace is almost always connected to the air conditioner, so you’ll probably be moving those components as well.

Moving a furnace a few feet is probably no big deal. Moving it into a different part of the house is a different story.

Once you complete the moving process, you’ll have to transition into paying for your new living expenses, including monthly rent or mortgage payments. You should also consider the cost of property taxes, utilities, and new furnishings for your home.

The lowest-cost days to move are Monday through Thursday. Many people move on weekends for convenience, so weekdays are often more affordable for hiring movers or renting a moving truck. Ask your local moving company if they offer any discounts for certain times of the year or days of the week.

Start by removing any obstacles in the moving path, such as side tables, lamps, or other furniture. If your couch has legs, unscrew them. Measure the couch and the stairway to ensure you have enough room; if it seems unlikely, examine the shape and size of the couch and decide whether it might fit better up the stairway and through doorways on its side, held diagonally, or moved in an upright position.

Consider putting the sofa on a dolly to go up the stairs. It should be able to fit upright on a standard dolly with wheels. You’ll still need to lift the dolly—with the couch on it—up the stairs, but it will reduce the physical strain. The person holding the dolly should pull the couch up, while the helper should be on the other side, keeping the couch secure and steady.

If you don’t have a dolly, the person in front should lift the couch slightly higher than the person in the back to create more stability. The person in the back should also be the stronger mover, as most of the weight will be distributed there.
