"We remodeled most of our house this past year since we were working from home and it was long overdue. We had a few decent contractors(and a few not so decent) but the best by far was Hardscapes LLC. Our backyard has a steep hill and the rain has eroded the hill over the years to the point of seeing a lot of tree roots. We also only had about 8 feet of usable yard past the patio that was pea gravel. Hardscapes came in and put a retaining wall that gave us 30 feet of usable yard and a concrete patio. The 5-6 man crew really took their time to make sure everything was done right. They made a mess out of the driveway and street as expected with multiple truckloads of dirt and gravel…but not only did they hose the driveway down, but all 5 guys took 2-3 hours to scrape the compacted dirt from the driveway and the street, and then hose down again. I was planning on buying a power washer when I was done, but it was not needed. And we made no request of the clean up. Adam just said that he hates to leave a mess. Adam was great to work with. Answered calls the same day from start to finish and never took more than an hour or so to answer a text….unheard of these days. It did take them a few months to get started because they were so busy but Adam was very up front about timelines and weather delays. We felt like we got a fair price for the work that was done compared to quotes that we have gotten in the past, but it was a fantastic price when you take into account the service. Adam conducts business the way EVERY contractor should. I just wish he did bathroom remodeling!"

"My wife and I are 77 and 80 years old and have an outside screened in porch which my wife uses as her escape area when weather permits. She is handicapped and I recently have become handicapped. This year the green pollen really did a number on our porch, it was literally saturated in green pollen and I was unable to clean it as my back issues got worse. I found Chri’s business on Angie, told him the problem (he even came out and looked at it) and I was given a fair quote to clean up the porch. Chris and his helper not only cleaned the porch, but took all the furniture and other items off the porch and cleaned them individually outside of porch. Upon completion, everything was put back in place and it was like brand new. I have never had anyone do a job like this and at a fair price. "Todd was easy to talk to, listened and helped with figuring out the best approach to accomplish what I wanted/needed. There was a misunderstanding on French door measurements to replace my existing faux French going into the living area, which resulted in the door I ordered from Lowe's being too small. Todd accepted responsibility for that though and I took care of coordinating for the reorder and exchange with Lowe's. If Lowe's had not messed up with the replacement - that hiccup would have been a minimal pain and delay. As it is though, a job that was started in October is just about ready to be completed in Feb. Two main factors - rain that wouldn't quit which caused a muddy yard that made it impossible for them to work AND the incompetency of Lowes. Overall, the finished room looks beautiful. One part of the porch was done with the windows, etc. and the other part was simply screened in. I raise butterflies and my object was to protect my caterpillars from predators and to keep bugs away in general. To help with that too, Todd suggested screening the length of the porch underneath (above the patio). I'm looking forward to the concept of being able to sit outside without getting eaten alive or battling other 'creatures' indigenous to this state (if you know what I mean)."

"Marygrove Awning was very responsive to my first inquiry. It was mid November when I first contacted them and we we had a very tight time frame that the new awning cover needed to be installed. Our awning is over the front of our business and is in a historic district. We could not have the old retractable frame removed and replaced with a newer type. Understandably , the company could not guarantee their work on the existing frame. Not having a guarantee concerned me but under the circumstance we had no choice. The day of installation was bitterly cold and windy. Two workers showed up on time and worked steadily in the bitter cold on a piece of equipment (our old awning frame) they previously had very little if any experience with. I was very impressed with how well they worked. It works beautifully 8 months later and we are pleased. I highly recommend MaryGrove Awning. If you have an old retractable frame like ours this firm is able to step up and take care of the situation. The two guys who worked that very cold rainy day on a very old piece of equipment should be very proud of the job they did.
