"We remodeled our master bath and closet in 2023. Scott and his team did a spectacular job on our closet system. We called them back a year later to design and install two additional bedroom closets. One was a traditional closet and one was designed specifically to accommodate my sewing/quilting needs. Now we are working with this team to design our 12x8 laundry/storage space. You can’t go wrong with Scott, Christine and Bella Systems!"

"Rodrigo with GABA Contractors completed our kitchen, laundry room, & powder room renovation last year and did an excellent job. The project consisted of demo, new drywall/paint, tile/LVT flooring, trim, wood paneling, misc. electrical work. It was completed on schedule and within our budget. The quality of the work and dedication to meeting our needs was top notch. Highly recommend Rodrigo and we plan to do more work with him in the future!"

  1. Matt and Josh aren't simply woodworkers.  They craft works of art from the very best tree parts!  :-)  Nicely built, sturdy pieces that are beautifully custom-made to fill your walls or fit the quirky nooks and crannies of your home distinctively.  These guys are sooooo easy to work with and almost instinctively "knew" what we needed.  We had ideas, but they took them to the next level in the creation of the pieces.  Also, the finish work that is done by an associate is first class.  Matt and Josh are talented and personable and hardworking and professional and reliable - the real deal.  We are extremely happy with our wood art that happens to be furniture.  :-)
Matter of fact, we are so pleased we have more items and projects in the pipeline with Finely Finished:  a new mantle for our fireplace; a custom desk piece to contain the labyrinth of computer/electronic/wiring "stuff" for three people; fitted out pantry closets...  and more, we are sure.

Closets questions, answered by experts

Bump-out additions can add some space to a closet without requiring any significant structural work. This entails pushing back the existing rear or side of the closet, simply moving the wall into either an adjacent room or unused space. For ground-floor closets, this could even be extended to the exterior of the home, but that has its own complications. Bump-outs are a good discussion to have with your contractor if you’re just looking to increase the space a little—not renovate the entire closet space.

The time it takes to build a closet varies widely depending on the project's size, complexity, and level of customization. On average, construction can take anywhere from a few days to two weeks.

A simple reach-in closet might be completed in less than a day, while a more complex walk-in closet could take one to two days or more. A typical project often falls in the 2-to-5-day range. However, a large, highly customized walk-in closet that requires structural changes, like moving a load-bearing wall, will take significantly longer.

A professional contractor can provide the most accurate time estimate for your specific project. If you are planning a DIY build, it is best to budget additional time.

We use storage in nearly every room of the house, so it's no surprise that we lose track of things from time to time. The best way to organize storage is to declutter each year to cut down on auxiliary items that can be donated or tossed. Once you decide what's worth keeping, create an inventory list for all boxes you won't open for at least six months.

Hanging and folding clothes are efficient ways to pack your clothes during a move. When choosing a packing method, consider the type of clothing you’re packing. For example, clothing such as dresses, suits, blouses, and items made of silk and similar fabrics are ideal for hangers. On the other hand, it’s easier to fold pants, shorts, t-shirts, thick sweaters, and more.

Costs depend on material, customization level, and additional features like lighting or sliding doors.
