We do not manufacture windows or doors for homes nor do we use Insulated glass. Strafford Window Mfg. manufacturers custom wood windows for barns, sheds, stables, pool houses, cabin, porches and interior applications in the home. Our windows are made of all wood and single strength glass. Call for pricing on Tempered glass. Strafford Window MFG. manufactures Sashes, Transoms, Single Hung Window Units, Hopper Window Units, Fixed Window Units and Screens.

"These windows are solid, well built and look great. I will be ordering more for my house."

"I was on the market for a security system and this one seemed easy enough to install.......went through the process and some of the window sensors were not working. I called Customer Support who was very friendly and we went through the entire process again...this time other window sensors did not work. This went on for a week or so...then the door senors stopped working....than the motion sensor stopped working...at no time in over a month did I have a fully operational security system. As I was about to return the system I was told they have "new" sensors and they just realized they received a bad batch and are working with another company.....Gave it a try....and same issue returned....some sensors worked....some didn't. I finally returned the system and stopped getting emails.....only to find that they were still billing my credit card even after I returned the equipment. Very nice people and very understanding.....unfortunately their product is not up to par. While we do have a large home, it's an open concept and the sensors that weren't working were no more than 15ft away from the base. The previous owners of my house had a wireless system with no issues at all.....I'm going to be using that company going forward."

Hurricane Film questions, answered by experts

After a big storm, you may not be sure if a tree was struck or not. Look for the telltale long scars, like strips or gouges in the bark of the tree, running in sometimes jagged lines down the length of the trunk. These scars will often show vulnerable living wood inside the tree. It’s also common to see scorched or wilted leaves on the side or top of the tree where lightning struck.

Yes, home insurance coverage includes hail damage. An HO-1 insurance policy offers the most basic coverage for homeowners. In every homeowners’ insurance policy, the insurer includes a list of perils (or dangers) that you’re covered from, and HO-1 policies almost always include protection against hail and windstorms as well as other perils like fire, lightning, and vandalism. All you need to do is file a homeowners insurance claim, and your insurer will send you a check for the amount covered.

If your roof has storm damage, there will be some telltale signs. These include missing, loose, or damaged shingles. You may notice cracks or dents on the metal parts of your roof, like flashing, gutters, or metal panels. Water leaks are another big indicator. So are visible signs of impact. Rather than climb up on your roof to check, hire a professional to inspect the area  safely.

Yes, your roof will leak if you have missing or damaged shingles. Severely damaged or missing shingles are essentially holes in your roof, leading to water seeping into your attic and ceilings. The underlayment underneath your roofing is a secondary form of protection, so you should fix shingle damage and replace missing ones as quickly as possible.

A hail hit on shingles can look like a circle of white chalk where the hailstone hit and removed some of the asphalt granules. A hail hit can also look like a crack, dent, or bruise on your shingles. On wood shingles, hail can cause the wood to split and crack more than on asphalt shingles. The age and condition of the roof also play a role in how the hail damage looks on shingles.
