I have no problem with a contractor telling me he is too busy to do the job, although I would appreciate a referral to a colleague. However, once a contractor makes a commitment to do an estimate, then that commitment should be kept. Failing that, the contractor owes a phone call explaining why he cannot keep the commitment and offer to reschedule.
Mr Rhoads may indeed do superb work, but my experience clearly tells me that I cannot trust him to keep his word.
I absolutely love the final look and could not emphasize enough that this crew is the very best!
He did not ask for payment, but I insisted on paying him for the trip to the house and the expertise he provided. He also agreed to give me a statement showing that the roof had been inspected.
This was an example where an unscrupulous roofer could've told me that extensive work was needed, but this roofer didn't. I would hire Rhoads Remodeling and Roofing without hesitation, as he proved himself trustworthy.
This is the second job we've had Mr. Rhoads do for us. (Roof repair was the first). Just as before, he was prompt in getting a quote for gutters to us which was less than we were thinking it would be. His son came out to measure and went over thoroughly with us now we wanted them to look. He ordered the materials and got to work as soon as they came in. Mr. Rhoads and his crew are consistent in their quality work. They are tidy while working and efficient. We will definitely be using them again with future projects.
Mr. Rhoads was prompt in coming out, and provided an estimate promptly. His estimate was half what another provider's had quoted. Due to workload they had scheduled me for two weeks out, however Mr. Rhoads contacted me and said he would be able to do it sooner. This was perfect since the rains had been unpredictable and frequent.
They arrived in the evening about 5pm, tied in the two sections of roof and completed in about 2.5 hours. He had a sufficient number of crew to do the job quickly.
Mr. Rhoads contacted me about a week or so later to see if I was satisfied, but it had not rained sufficiently to give a thorough test of the repair. After about a month he again contacted me for a follow up, and it had rained quite a bit and I was confident in telling him it was complete. He contacted me once more after some severe showers and again I was able to tell him there were no leaks. I am satisfied that the work that Mr. Rhoads accomplished for me will continue to hold up.

It went great. Seriously, what else do you want to know. I gave him all A's so that should tell you something. See above.
His team was very easy to work with. They do very high quality work, best I have ever seen.
Use him and you won't get left hanging on the phone and left wondering what's going on and when they might get started. Great people. I highly reccomend him. I would certinally use him again.
