We are a premier specialty company that provides unparalleled service to homeowners, designers, and builders. At East Coast Granite and Tile we give you the excellence you expect and deserve. Because we use first grade materials only and utilize the latest stone fabrication technologies, we are able to provide you with the highest quality products. Whether you are planning to build a new home, or remodel an existing one, we will work with you to make your dreams a reality. Let our years of knowledge and experience work for you!

"Decided on our granite on a Saturday and on Monday they were at our house measuring and demolishing our old countertops. A week later we had new countertops. The reason they don't receive an A and only a B on quality is their measurements were either off or the installers didn't line the granite up right but they basically trapped our stove in. We were updating our kitchen and when the new stove came in I couldn't get the old one out so they had to come back out and shave the edges down. Other issue was when they took our old sink out they didn't leave the garbage disposal connector so we had to buy a new one when the new sink came in."

"I signed a contract with this one man company for a 5 figure bathroom remodel on March 17, 2018. He promised it would be a two to four week job. He also told me he had established "crews" that were the best in the business. When the job finally started after two delays the first two sub contractors showed up and quit before starting because of a dispute they had with him over "money". When I contacted the subs and asked them to return they told me they would be happy to if I could work with them directly but that they would never work with him again. I knew I was in trouble at that point. When he found new subs off of craigslist or Facebook marketplace (not what we agreed to) they finally got most of the job done in about 2 months. But they installed the tile backer board incorrectly and the grout kept breaking up. They came back and took out tile and screwed in the backer board but he had ordered the wrong tile so it did not match the rest of the floor. He has now delivered the wrong tile three times. He will go weeks without returning phone calls and his voice mail box is always full. He will not respond to text messages. His main counter top fabricator has refused to do further work for him but they did do a great job for me. I have been trying to get my defective tile replaced for six months. He has promised time and again to come do it but always has an excuse. A month long custody battle had him "at court" every day causing one delay. Then he left for Disney World and promised to be here to fix it on the Monday he returned. Have not heard from him for two weeks after calling and texting every day. There has been excuses and broken promises for six months. This is a classic "dog ate my homework" situation. Someone else is always to blame. Subsequent to hiring him and during the course of the job he bragged to me and his subcontractors one day that he had a run in with some local policemen over a custody issue and he showed us the altercation on the internet. He is very proud of it. I have attached a link so you can view for yourself and form your own opinion. youtube.com/watch?v=8bHk… Personally, had I seen this before signing the contract, I would have never done so. Seeing this, I decided to see if he had anything else on the internet. I subsequently found this link. givesendgo.com/GFQM In this link he posts that he is homeless and living out of his car and is asking for donations to his business through this religious website. He is a one man operation operating out of his car and has no office. He asked for half of the contract amount up front. Had I known he had posted that he was living in his car I would have never done that. He will promise 24-7 service and will promise to be onsite for the job but that was not our experience. During the tile installation I had someone there for two days who did not speak English and when mistakes were made I had no way to communicate so it just had to be done over correctly the next day. He was also supposed to replace three table tops with the left over material from my counter tops as I purchased an entire sheet. He later told me his fabricator mistakenly threw it away. I contacted the fabricator who told me that was not the case. I used this fabricator for counter tops before and know them to be honest and reliable. You will seen in another review he did the same thing to another customer and blamed the same fabricator. I told Travis I would not post negative reviews if he would just complete the job as promised. It's almost 8 months later and I still have an uncompleted job with faulty workmanship that has to be redone. He is nowhere to be found. I just hope this helps others make an informed decision."

Asset Home Services is proud to design, deliver and install Carolina Heartwood Cabinetry in Columbia, SC and surrounding areas. Our beautiful cabinets have amazing architecture, design and the best finishes available. Our cabinets are not only beautiful but are available at a price to fit everyone’s budget. Our cabinets are flat-packed, “ready to assemble” or RTA cabinet, with an option for Asset Home Service assembly and installation. Why give the customer an option for unassembled flat-packed cabinets? Because if the customer chooses the unassembled option, it affords a lower price point. Our product line consists of classic colors: Mocha Java stain and Vanilla Creme paint – and both options glazed, “Cinnamon” and Linen White stain color. Our door styles consist of a Shaker and a Wilmington design. We can also paint all of our stock cabinets any color that you can imagine! Our CHC cabinets have the best finish available, a UV-cured non-yellowing chemical resistant T-6 ( the best) clear coat on all cabinet interior parts, boxes, shelves, drawers, backs, etc. These finishes can only be factory applied with a special UV roll coat machine, which allows the finished product to posses all these attributes. Our cabinets have four color options at this time. Both the Raleigh (cream painted look) and the Charlotte (mocha stain look) have an ACID CATALYZED CONVERSION COATING. On the Raleigh cabinet there is a primer, colored topcoat, and a clear coat that is an acid catalyzed conversion coating. The Charlotte cabinet has stain and glaze with two coats of the clear acid catalyzed conversion coating. Both our Salem and our Wilmington offerings utilize a conversion coated finish for extreme durability. All of our cabinets far exceed the standard for national KCMA which means that our cabinets are chemically resistant, UV resistant, and most important of all – scratch resistant. Asset Home Services has also been building new homes, renovating homes and inspecting homes throughout the Columbia area for the past 15 years. Many people are second, even third, time customers, showing our dedication to customer satisfaction. We are licensed, bonded and fully insured. We can turn a difficult and uninformed decision into a easier well informed one. For a modest investment, the yield is high and we guarantee our service to you. We look forward to working with you.

Cabinet Making questions, answered by experts

The main difference is size: a butler's pantry is much larger than a typical walk-in pantry. They are both primarily used for storage, however. Traditional butlers’ pantries also had private food prep and cleanup areas—complete with a sink, microwave, refrigerator, wine fridge, and countertop prep space. But, many newer walk-in pantries include the same items that make up a butler’s pantry.

Overlay refers to the cabinet’s door style, while face frame refers to how the cabinet’s box is constructed. Overlay cabinets can either be full overlay—meaning the doors and drawers completely cover the fronts of the cabinets—or partial overlay, which means a portion of the face frame stays visible when the cabinets are shut. Partial overlay doors can only be used on face frame cabinets. Full overlay doors can be used on either face frame or frameless cabinets.

Yes, you can replace old kitchen cabinet hinges with soft close, and it’s a great DIY project you can likely tackle in a weekend. Installing soft close hinges first involves removing the cabinet doors and old hinges with either a screwdriver or power drill. The next step involves drilling a new hole for the new hinges, following the manufacturer’s instructions. It’s a fantastic way of upgrading standard cabinet hinges and giving a more custom feel without the expense of replacing your cabinets.

There should be at least 30 inches of space between the top of the stove, whether gas or electric, and the bottom of any upper cabinets. This typically provides enough clearance to prevent heat damage and meet most building code requirements. If you’re installing a range hood, follow the manufacturer’s guidelines. It may require even more space.

Yes, stacked cabinets, bulkhead trim, and crown molding are worth it. This look is not only customized and high-end, but you’ll also have the added benefit of extra storage space. And because you don’t need to remove your existing cabinets to achieve this look, you’ll save by not needing to complete a kitchen remodel—which could run between $15,000 and $40,000.
