"I acquired 5 different quotes for an in-ground pool and AAA was not only the lowest but after I checked out some of their references, the quality was the deciding factor. The rain this spring delayed the project but the finished product was exactly what we had hoped for. Calvin and Perry were responsive and delivered on every deadline (weather permitting). I have already recommended them to my friends and neighbors!"

"We transferred from Hot Springs Pool and Spa. H2O was very quick and always answers their phone. Their service was very professional and well done. They are very kind and explain all the options when something needs to be done. I highly recommend for all pool related maintenance and repairs."

"The pool opening was done in a timely manner and very professional. Great price and friendly service. They opened my pool as well as replaced my liner in a timely manner. The weekly cleanings are Thorough and smooth. My pool has never looked better and I have also recommended them to multiple friends and family members who also get there pool cleaned weekly as well. I would never trust my pool in anyone else’s hands."

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

Pool and Spa Servicing questions, answered by experts

Regular water testing, filter cleaning, and chemical balancing are essential for keeping water clean and equipment functional.

A compact unit designed for two to three people typically weighs approximately 500 pounds in its empty state. On the other hand, a larger hot tub meant for up to six people can weigh around 1,000 pounds when empty. Materials used also impact weight. Less expensive hot tubs are typically lighter because they are made of molded plastic or fiberglass.

No, you cannot clean your hot tub filters in the dishwasher. While it may seem like a good idea, the dishwasher soap isn’t gentle enough for hot tub filters and can damage them. Gentle cleaning is better when cleaning the hot tub filters and keeping them intact.

Most hot tubs will experience leaks due to wear and tear in the plumbing or the shell itself. The second most common issue is a heater malfunction due to the ongoing heat stress on moving parts. Finally, clogs happen in hot tub jets, especially when it’s time to change the filter.

How often you change the water in your swim spa depends on how often you use it. Most manufacturers recommend changing the water every three to six months. If you use your swim spa throughout the seasons, it’s a good idea to set up a quarterly deep cleaning schedule. The ideal instructions should be in the owner’s manual.
