"Matias and his crew were excellent! They blew new insulation in my attic for me, and I am thrilled with the result. They ran into an issue accessing part of my attic, but thanks to their creative problem-solving, they worked around it and were able to get insulation throughout the whole attic. They truly went above and beyond, and I would recommend them to anyone who needs insulation work done."

Our focus is providing our clients with a finish product better than they imagined. We are a licensed builder and with over 30 years of experience we can do it all for our clients.

"I recently had the pleasure of working with Page Legacy Construction on an outdoor renovation project, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. The scope of the job included windows, a handicap ramp, soffit and fascia work, painting, crawl space vents, and custom crawl space doors. From start to finish, John and his team demonstrated top-notch professionalism, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. John's communication throughout the entire process was excellent. He kept me informed every step of the way and made sure all my questions were answered promptly and thoroughly. I’m admittedly hard to please when it comes to home improvement, but this crew exceeded my expectations. The final result speaks for itself—clean, precise work that added real value and curb appeal to our community center. It’s rare to find a contractor that combines quality work with a genuine care for customer satisfaction. Working with Page Legacy Construction was truly a pleasure, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and high-quality craftsmanship. Thank you again, John and crew!"

"I used Carolina Ductmasters 3 years ago and had a good experience. This time, however, was much different. The two guys were at my house for 50 minutes total. That is from the time they stepped out of the van until they were pulling out of the driveway. I have the Ring doorbell videos to corroborate. My house is 3100 SF. When I got home from work, I checked just (4) of the ducts and one of the ones that I checked is shown in the attached photo after it was supposedly cleaned. At this point, I stopped looking so that I could have them come back and fix the issue. I called to let them know that some of the ducts were not cleaned properly and the lady who answered was very nice and apologetic and scheduled them to come back. They did not clean any of the diffusers. My wife took them all off and cleaned them herself. When they came back, they were literally at my house for 7 minutes total. Again, 3100 SF and all he did was stick his arm down in the one duct that my wife showed him as far as he could reach and wiped it out. Nothing more. They didn't even bother vacuuming it out again. I took the cover off of the unit and there was mold all over inside, but they had said it was clean, so I just cleaned it myself. I really feel like they did a good job 3 years ago and I even recommended them to someone else. I do not recommend these guys at all anymore. I think they were behind on their schedule and tried to catch up on my house. When they came back out, they seemed mad that I had called them back, so they didn't bother checking behind all of the vents, only the one that was still literally black right inside the top portion of the duct. The picture attached is not after scrubbing. I literally just took a wet towel and touched it to the duct and it came out black."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

We recommend that you cut batts of fiberglass insulation with a sharp utility knife. However, in a pinch, you can use tools such as a box cutter or even a pair of scissors. No matter what cutting tool you use, just make sure it’s sharp so you get a clean, straight cut. Always cut along the back (foil) side of the fiberglass, rather than the “fuzzy” side of the material.

Adding too much insulation can have detrimental effects on your home and on your wallet. Where you live will determine the optimal amount of insulation for your home and in your ceilings. Adding more than the recommended amounts can cause airflow problems that can lead to moisture trouble. You may also spend more than necessary by adding too much insulation to the point that it'll become unrecoverable through your energy bills.

Open-cell foam insulation has a life span ranging between 15 to 25 years when well cared for. However, the material may degrade sooner in areas with high humidity or after prolonged water exposure. Proper installation and maintenance can maximize its longevity but requires close monitoring. Closed-cell foam insulation has a longer life span of 30 to 50 years.

The type of insulation you need in your home depends on your location, the installation site, and your region’s climate. According to Energy Star, insulation in homes in the Southern United States should have an R-value of between R30 and R60 in attics and R13 to R25 in the floors and walls; homes in moderate climates require R values of R38 to R60 in attics and R25 to R30 in floors and walls; and homes in northern states require an R value of R49 to R60 in attics and R25 to R30 in floors and walls.

Yes! Outdoor faucet covers work by enclosing the faucet with a thick, insulating material that will keep the faucet warmer than outdoor temperatures. They need to be sealed tightly against the house to work properly, though, so be sure to tighten the rubber strap or drawstring on the insulation cover to best protect your faucets.
