"I had considered and put off installing irrigation system a number of times before now but decided it was time to pull the trigger. Artistic was recommended by Nutri-Green Lawn Care, a company that does our regular lawn fertilization. Artistic owner Marc Garhart was able to come out the same day that I called. He gave me a proposal that was below what I'd gotten in the past. He included (and shared) an allowance for concealed conditions. I'm an architect, and was careful about the arrangements. Once I approved the proposal we formalized agreement and scheduled work. Marc came out the day before and confirmed his layout with me. When the schedule was delayed a day due to weather conditions he stayed in constant contact by text or telephone about the situation. When Marc and his crew arrived they knocked out the work and did so neatly and beautifully. Sod was cut out and stockpiled for replacement after the installation. We discovered that the allowance wasn't needed and I elected to use the savings to add a sensor to the controller. The system has generally functioned beautifully since.
Follow-Up 1) A head came off and needed replacement and 2) we thought we had a leak but realized later this year that the water schedule and duration recommended by lawn maintenance company were intended for the initial planting and much too heavy for ongoing conditions. After two or more calls and texts, Marc came out and fixed or identified the problem. Took a while, but he got it done.
Contacted Marc via text and voice mail about two other projects on different occasions, but never heard from him. Ended up hiring someone else. Would like to have continued with him, but I suspect he's a victim of his own success. "
