"Shout out to Frank for more beautiful floor work. Our kitchen keeps getting better and better! Take a look at this tile. Wish we had found Cransten earlier, but we WILL be coming back to them."

"Quality Flooring and Renovations started when they said they would, and completed when they said they. Everyone was professional and very .courteous. The flooring is outstanding and installed well. We could not be happier with the installation and quality of the flooring. The cost was within our expectation, and most strongly recommend Quality Flooring and Renovations for anyone needing flooring. Very Respecfully, William Monroe"

"I found JRRenovations on HomeAdvisor and entered my info. Recieved a phone call from Keven right away and came out for an estimate. He was very professional, fair priced, and meticulous about his work. I had several projects done to house and JRRenovations did them all from new bathroom tile, deck repairs & paint, skylight leak repairs, installation of new ceiling fans, installation of new insulation under the house, faucet repairs. You name it, they do it. Highly recommend!"

"The job went great, they ended up taking down my backsplash from previous wanna be tile person. They fixed mistakes the other person did and did a fantastic job installing the backsplash behind the range. They also made my life easy by allowing me to go out of town, they entered my home when I wasn’t there, they cleaned up their mess. I came home to new bsplash and clean kitchen. Thank You"

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

The best bathroom floor tiles are strong enough to withstand the weight of a clawfoot tub. However, professional tile installation is essential. If the tiles are uneven or improperly fixed, they may crack under the pressure. Be careful when installing the tub—if it drops or drags on the tiles, it could easily cause scratches or cracks.

When working on your bathroom floor tiling, you should always tile the floor first and then refit the toilet afterward. This has both practical and visual advantages—the tile will have a better seal, and the installation will look cleaner.

On the other hand, when you try to cut the tiles to fit around the toilet, you’re putting yourself at a disadvantage. It’s a lot more work, it’s hard to be precise, and mistakes or miscalculations can lead to future moisture damage to the tiling, grout, and subfloor.

As long as you follow the instructions on your peel-and-stick tile packaging, it should not damage your walls. A possible instance when you may accidentally damage your walls is if you install tiles improperly using additional adhesives that aren’t recommended.

Also, you can damage your walls if you’re not careful when removing tile. For example, you could accidentally make holes in the drywall with a paint scraper if you don’t heat the adhesive long enough before trying to pry it off.

Yes, construction materials like tile, lumber, drywall, and hardware can be disposed of in a dumpster, just not in your regular garbage. As you’re planning your project, just make sure to rent the correct size of dumpster based on the scope of your needs and be aware of weight limits. Tile weighs a lot (along with other construction materials), and your costs could increase if you exceed the weight limit in your contract with the dumpster provider.

The rule tells you how to cut tile to install it in a corner. The 3/4/5 rule recommends that you should have 3 feet across on one straight line, four feet on the other perpendicular line, and 5 feet of length from the end of one of the lines to the other. You’re making a right triangle with the tile, and the hypotenuse (the line across from where the 3-foot lie and 4-foot line meet) should be 5 feet long.
