WJA Construction is Licensed by the State of South Carolina in General Contracting, Plumbing & Electrical we have been in business for over 15 years now

"Very rude. No introduction when he came over, just a "the gas company shut off your water heater, you didn't pay the bill". Well, I explained, I just bought this house, was told it was all electric and had hot water for 2 months. Eyeroll and tapped the pipes "gas, gas, gas. You didn't pay the bill". Again, I was told by my realtor the house is all electric. Eyeroll again. "You will be paying $500 for not paying the bill". Ok, so I will call the gas company then. Had to pay the service fee even if there was no service. I said I was going to use the credit card and he said $103 with credit card. If he just told me the day before that there is an extra $3 for credit card, I could have just gone to the bank to withdraw cash. By the way, this is my first time to own a home with a tankless water heater and they were a contractor of 2-10 Choice Warranty."

Generally, shower walls should not be installed over drywall because of the moisture issues this can cause. If you’re using a direct-to-stud shower kit, you need to remove the drywall before you can do the installation.

However, if you’re using a glue-up shower kit or stall, you can glue the shower walls directly to drywall. Be sure to install a moisture-resistant drywall or waterproof cement board.

Drywall can be installed directly on ceiling joists. In fact, this method is common in many construction projects. Drywall sheets are attached to the joists using screws, ensuring a secure and stable installation. Before attaching the drywall, it's important to mark the joist locations on the ceiling, allowing for accurate screw placement. Proper spacing between screws and careful taping and mudding of joints are crucial to creating a smooth and flawless ceiling surface. Whether you can reuse a drywall anchor or not depends on the type. Plastic expansion anchors and plastic self-drilling anchors, which expand once screwed into the wall, are single-use only. You can't straighten and reuse them after removing them from the wall.

Metal toggle bolts can be reused, provided you can successfully remove the toggle from behind the wall. Once you remove the bolt, the toggle often falls down and can be difficult to retrieve without removing the drywall.

Bump-out additions can add some space to a closet without requiring any significant structural work. This entails pushing back the existing rear or side of the closet, simply moving the wall into either an adjacent room or unused space. For ground-floor closets, this could even be extended to the exterior of the home, but that has its own complications. Bump-outs are a good discussion to have with your contractor if you’re just looking to increase the space a little—not renovate the entire closet space.

Whether it’s better to screw or glue drywall depends on your specific budget and project timeline. Professional drywall installers are more likely to use screws and fasteners than adhesives, but it takes longer. But if you are DIYing your drywall installation, glue is a perfectly fine choice if you’re willing to pay extra for adhesive.
