"I work for a moving company in NY and a customer in SC had some damages to her table making it unusable so i decided to look on Angie's list to find a handy man and I found much more! Jason was very responsive and professional and a furniture repair expert! The customers home I sent to Jason too was very pleased with Jason's service!"

"Drae was quick to respond to give me a quote on both pieces. I thought the total price was on the high side but did not get any other estimates for a comparison as he had great reviews on Angie's List. He did a great job of eliminating the gouges on the front of the desk and the leg on the chair looks like it was never broken! I will use Drae again and will recommend him to my friends.

Upholstering questions, answered by experts

DIY upholstery is feasible for simple pieces with the right tools and skills, though intricate jobs typically require professional expertise for the best results.

Depending on the quality of the leather, this type of upholstery can last anywhere from 5 to 20 years. The more time you invest in the care and protection of the leather, the longer your leather furniture is likely to last.

You can make your dining room look more expensive using one or more of several methods. If you're remodeling, you can consider raising the ceiling height, installing an elegant chandelier, or redoing the floor. For smaller renovations, consider changing the paint color to a deep and rich tone, such as burgundy or emerald. You can also swap out the table and chairs to achieve a richer appearance.

Yes, you can reupholster antique furniture, and it’s a great way to extend the life of your pieces and keep them looking fresh and new for years to come. In fact, since reupholstering furniture is significantly more affordable than replacing it, reviving antique furniture can be a cost-effective way to keep that family heirloom usable for much longer. It’s usually a good idea to leave antique reupholstering to a professional, as they will have the tools and expertise to ensure the piece isn’t damaged and looks professionally finished.

Costs depend on fabric choice, furniture size, cushioning, and labor. For significant projects, expect estimates between $350 and $1,200.
