"Stay away from Budget Movers of Augusta, Inc. Their Google and social media reviews are fake or posted by internal employees to mislead customers. On October 5, 2024, they arrived 50 minutes late with no explanation, bringing no protective equipment or proper tools despite promises from the owner, Jim. Their careless handling damaged my sectional sofa, dining table, garage door stopper, and door knob, leaving me with $650 to $1,390 in repair costs. They also failed to disclose a mandatory two-hour charge, forcing me to overpay for an hour of unnecessary service. When I contacted customer support, I was met with empty promises, repeated excuses, and no resolution. No repairs, no reimbursement, and no accountability. I demand full compensation or immediate repairs. I also urge the Review Board to investigate their deceptive practices and recommend that the Better Business Bureau remove them from its listings. Do not trust this company. Do not hire them. Protect yourself."

"In spite of numerous negative reviews about Move Quick, Inc., I opted to hire this company for my move from West Virginia to Los Angeles. I spoke to Phillip, the manager/owner, who convinced me that the posted complaints had been resolved and were exaggerations. However, I, too, was subjected to an exaggerated low bid in order to snag my business. I, too, experience problems with the pick up and the delivery dates. The movers were a day late in arriving, then quoted me a 67% increase in price, from $3,100 to $5,200. BUT I was stuck. The company already had my deposit money. Also, I was charged for one flight of stairs and an exaggerated inaccurate measurement of my front door to the truck. I had been told there was no fee for one flight. I had provided exact measurements for the items in my two rooms of furniture. True, I had 51 boxes instead of 40 but that did not warrant such an increase in price, 67% almost $2,000. Delivery was also problematic. I had told Move Quick, Inc. that I would be at my new home 25 days after the pick up, October 30, 2019. That should have been more than enough time for any truck to drive cross country. They made me wait until December 4, 2020, a total of 25 days to drive 2,400 miles. I made the drive solo in 5 days. Communication with the company once they have your money is near to impossible. It took threats and 6 days for Philip to respond. He then provided an insignificant $75 discount. My recommendation: go with a larger company than can provide an accurate estimate and deliver within a reasonable time. Also, use a company that uses the industry standard of moving cost based on the weight of your items. Don’t let Phillip tell you his method of charging based on volume is better. No one else does this, for a reason. Other estimates I had received were in the $3,700 range.I should have Booked Elsewhere!”"
