"Stuart and Wellmade concrete really came through. They were very punctual and did exactly what they said they would. Very professional with a contract and stayed right on schedule. The slopes of the slab were perfect. The smooth finish I asked for was beautiful! They left the yard clean like they found it. I definitely recommend them. It was a turnkey operation! They did it all."

Most of what we do is full tear-out and replacement. We remove the old cracked, settling, or spalling concrete, rebuild the base the right way, and pour new. We also handle driveway extensions and widening, aprons and curb cuts, stamped and decorative concrete, and concrete repair.\n\nOur crews have poured more than 38,000 residential concrete projects. Every job gets a dedicated project coordinator, up-front pricing with no surprise change orders, and a final walkthrough before we call it finished. Licensed and insured.\n\nNeed a new driveway? "Fantastic! The guys at KW are great to work with. I had some grading work in addition to the driveway that really wasn’t driveway related. They did that work and the driveway with no issues. Their prices were very fair and they did the work quickly."

"Thank you Madewell for sending the "A" team to put in a new driveway and walkway to my house. Gio was right on the money with his estimate explaining the design process and the project manager Brian Phaup along with his concrete finishing expert Miguel and his two man crew did an outstanding job! Brian made sure we were all on the same page during the whole process and the work was top notch from start to finish! The crew was on time, professional, and left my property like it was their own! Just an outstanding job all around and would recommend them to everyone!"

"In every way, Joe's work and communication about that work was entirely extraordinary. I feel that I have a driveway and pad that will really last and got it in the most straightforward manner. We worked on a handshake and I wasn't disappointed at any point with his work, his crew, his methods, his timing, or his cleaning up after the job"

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

Pressure washing your home or fence can make a major difference in the appearance and may even help extend the life of the structure you’re cleaning. Some of the most common areas that people pressure wash around their property include:

  • Driveway: $100–$250

  • Patio: $100–$200

  • Fence: $150–$300

  • Gutters: $50–$150

  • Roof: $450–$700

  • Siding: $150–$1,400

  • One-story house: $150–$750

  • Two-story house: $400–$1,400

  • Three-story house: $700–$1,800

You shouldn’t directly paint over an oil stain on your asphalt driveway. While painting over might visually conceal the stain, the oil will continue to damage the driveway. Once you’ve noticed the oil stain, it’s important to thoroughly remove it within the next few months since oil stains only take six months before they begin to damage the structure of your asphalt driveway.

Periodic sealing and cleaning to maintain appearance and integrity.

You should avoid using a pressure washer on any surface or item that could be damaged by the high-pressure spray, as some materials are too delicate to withstand the force.

Key items and surfaces to avoid include:

  • Electrical Components: Never pressure wash electrical systems, as water can cause short-circuits and create a safety hazard. This includes utility meters, breaker boxes, electrical outlets, generators, and HVAC or air conditioner units.

  • Delicate and Fragile Materials: Fragile items can crack, shatter, or be stripped by the pressure. Avoid pressure washing windows, glass, light fixtures, shingled roofs (especially asphalt), and stucco.

  • Painted, Stained, or Sealed Surfaces: Unless your goal is to strip the finish, do not pressure wash painted surfaces, stained wood (like decks), or anything with a protective seal that could be stripped away. Be especially cautious with older surfaces that may contain lead paint.

  • Soft Woods and Certain Decking: Delicate surfaces like softwood, composite decking, and antique or wooden patio furniture can be etched or damaged. If you must wash wood, use a lower-powered pressure washer with a wide-angle nozzle to prevent damage.

  • Living Things: Never use a pressure washer on people, pets, or plants. The force can cause serious injury and will destroy landscaping.

The best ways to increase the lifespan of your driveway are to carry out proper maintenance and get repairs done quickly. First, reseal your driveway every one to three years to protect it from the elements. If you start to notice significant cracks, hire a professional to diagnose the problem before it gets more serious. You can also use sand instead of salt when de-icing your driveway (since salt is corrosive) and clean your driveway annually using a pressure washer to keep it in tip-top shape.
