"These guys are the real deal ... they did a GREAT job.  I would recommend them to anyone.  The carpets they cleaned for us had not been cleaned in years, and had been lived on by little kids and a puppy ... upholstery never cleaned.  These guys did a superb job, were on time, worked hard, made sure I understood what was happening, were careful about safety, didn't damage anything.  They send you pictures of the people who are coming, which I'd never seen before and is very considerate.  Great service!"

Carpet Cleaning questions, answered by experts

There are a few carpet maintenance tips you’ll want to use to keep your carpet looking brand-new. Make sure you tackle stains immediately, and only use cleaners gentle enough for your carpet's specific fibers. You can even pop area rugs on top of wall-to-wall carpeting to change the look of your space and protect the carpet below.

Some of the hardest and worst stains to remove from carpets include dark-colored spills like red wine, coffee, blood, and ink. These stains can permanently discolor the carpet, especially on light-colored carpets, if they aren’t dealt with immediately. Bleach is also particularly damaging, as it causes near-instant color loss that cannot be restored by cleaning; the affected spot will likely need to be dyed or replaced. If DIY methods don't work on these tough stains, a professional carpet cleaner can help restore your carpet.

You can clean vomit stains out of a carpet by first rehydrating the stain with a solution of warm water and mild detergent. Allow the solution to penetrate the stain and break up the dried material. Afterward, blot the stain to remove it. Don’t rub, as this can damage carpet fibers and push the stain deeper. Deodorize with a vinegar solution once the stain is completely gone.

One way to sanitize and deodorize a carpet is to use a cleaning solution made from one part vinegar and two parts warm water. After you vacuum, spray the solution on parts of the carpet that smell, being careful not to oversaturate it. Let the solution sit for 15 to 20 minutes before you perform your normal carpet sanitation routine.

How you freshen a musty carpet depends on what’s causing it to smell funky. Baking soda can soak up some smells, and vinegar is a natural deodorizer. These DIY solutions can lift out light odors. However, steam cleaning or hot water extraction may be the best way to clean your carpet when the smell is deeply ingrained. These penetrate deep into carpet fibers and can remove musty mold spores and pet urine smells.
