"It went very well. First Bob helped me to decide which vinyl plank would be the best choice & I’m so glad I listened to him. Love the flooring as I had it put in my entire home. Everyone came on time, completely prepped everything, including removing appliances & anything else that needed to go temporarily, as well as putting everything back. Took about a week to complete but the Creative Flooring Crew was punctual & professional & did what they promised. I have received many compliments on my floor when family & friends come to visit. Highly recommend Creative Flooring Designs for competitive pricing, honesty & professionalism. You can’t go wrong with this local company. ?"

"The good: kitchen looked awesome, dusted, cleaned stove and refrigerator, baseboards cleaned and beds remade... The not so good: After being told I'd be contacted within two days, I was not and I reached out a few times to connect, we agreed upon a date Feb. 2 at 8am,and I reorganized to have my mom here at that time on Feb.2. At 8:04am that morning I got a text and phone message stating that they'd need to reschedule as they'd double booked. We agreed they'd come on Friday, Feb. 6 at 1pm. They texted at 12:42 saying they were in way picking up another cleaner. They arrived about an hour later than scheduled. They left and stated they'd have to return to complete it and we scheduled for the next Friday but they were again really late for the appointment. That night I hit home to a sticky dirty looking bathroom floor and a ring of some cleaning product ( with bottle base outline) on my bathroom counter... Overall very thorough but not so dependable in timing. Quiet and persistent hard workers."

"I did my homework when we decided to change our flooring. Out of five companies we researched we decided on Floortech, SC. I was impressed from the minute I talked to the owner, John, he made great recommendations, had amazing pricing and came out that day to measure. They also have most of the flooring in stock and they jump on the job. The two men that came to install the flooring could not have been more professional! When the job was finished someone came out to inspect the work and if we were not pleased with anything they would fix it right away. Needless to say it was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend them to anyone."

Floor Cleaning and Waxing questions, answered by experts

Yes, but with caution. A floor grinder is intended to level and polish concrete, so it is a very powerful tool. To remove paint, the floor grinder should be set to 35 square feet per minute or less to minimize the pressure without the use of pocket weights. You might need to go over the surface two times to get any paint that has sunk into the concrete’s pores.

Regular sealing, proper drainage, and periodic inspections prevent premature wear and cracking.

You can buff out small scratches or indentations from your hardwood floor, but refinishing is your best bet if you have larger areas that need work. Floors in relatively good shape but have lost their luster can be restored with thorough buffing. If your finish has worn off in areas or if you have sun or water damage, you should go with refinishing instead.

If you’re looking for commercial cleaners, just check the label to find options that say they are safe for vinyl. Otherwise, homemade cleaners work great for vinyl plank flooring. Baking soda paste works well for spot-cleaning, and vinegar mixed with water is best for all-over cleaning. You can even clean your floors with plain water, which is great for everyday maintenance.

Professionals use various tools and cleaning solutions based on the type of floor they’re cleaning. They often use industrial steam cleaners to pull debris out of the carpet. For localized stains, they may use a commercial cleaner or a mixture of water, vinegar, and dish soap. For tile, they’ll typically use dish soap and hot water, plus a mixture of baking soda and hot water for the grout. For cleaning wood floors, they might use a low-heat steamer, a mop with an oil wood floor cleaner, or a mixture of hot water, vinegar, and lemon juice.
