"Quality of product is far superior to anything I've seen at Lowe's or Home Depot. Unfortunately, that brings with it a far superior cost as well. That said, the sales person was fantastic and knowledgable and the install team was amazing!"

Small jobs welcome

I provide reliable handyman services for homeowners who need repairs, installations, maintenance, assembly, and general projects completed correctly and efficiently. I’m detail-oriented, dependable, and experienced with troubleshooting and hands-on repair work. I take pride in showing up when I say I will, keeping the work area clean, and explaining what needs to be done before starting. Whether it’s a small repair or a larger project, my goal is quality work at a fair price without cutting corners.

"We love our cabinets! They look fantastic while remaining affordable. The friendly staff at AWD helped us from start to finish. They are very knowledgeable and gave us advice and tips when needed. They were receptive and patient with our ever-changing needs. Once we finalized our purchase, we received our cabinets within two weeks! The cabinets are very sturdy and the color is beautiful. The hinges and hardware are high quality. We are extremely pleased with AWD and would recommend them to any friends or family looking for good cabinets at a fair price."

"L and R made the repair process easy. He was the first person to show up with pencil and paper to give an estimate for this project. He made notes for measurements and supplies, and only made one trip out to complete the job. There were not additional supply runs. Job site was left clean and process ran on schedule. I will certainly be calling him again for any additional house repairs in the future! A+"

Pre Made Cabinets questions, answered by experts

DIY is possible, but professional assembly ensures proper alignment, stability, and cable management.

There are several ways to save money and keep costs down when building an outdoor kitchen. Building on an existing patio can reduce the cost of a new foundation, especially if it's close to the house. You can also save on utility line installation by opting out of a sink and using a built-in propane or charcoal grill. If you have the skills, tackling parts of the project yourself—like building or finishing cabinets, installing fixtures, and constructing seating—can lead to significant savings. Reusing appliances you already have is another great way to cut costs. Finally, consider starting small with just the essential components and adding more features over time as your budget allows.

The 1/3 rule is a design guideline used by interior designers and cabinet installers to select appropriately sized pulls for cabinets and drawers. The rule suggests that for a balanced and cohesive look, a cabinet pull should be approximately one-third the height of the cabinet door or one-third the width of the drawer face. This guideline helps create a symmetrical appearance because the human eye tends to follow the length of the pull across the cabinet face.

While the 1/3 rule is a helpful starting point, it is not the only option. If a measurement falls between available pull sizes, it's generally best to size up. For an ultra-contemporary aesthetic, you can also opt for full-width pulls that span the entire drawer.

Yes, there are some options for pre-built inset cabinets—and RTA ones, too—but the selection can be somewhat limited. Many homeowners who decide on inset cabinets choose to have them custom made.

In a kitchen installation, starting with the foundation and structural elements before moving on to the finishing touches is essential. Framing, plumbing, and utilities should go first, followed by cabinetry and countertops, then plumbing fixtures and new appliances. Flooring, paint, tile backsplashes, and similar finishing touches should get installed last.
