"Kevin and his son Alex are top notch craftsmen, very reputable and have tremendous knowledge in the home building/projects area. We hired them back in August 2020 to install a storm door and screen in our upstairs porch. This time around they installed a brand new window in a second floor bathroom, installed sun blocking shades in our screened porch, fixed a roof over our garage that our builder did not secure properly, and fixed an outdoor shower door. They are perfectionists, always clean up after themselves, very easy to work with and we feel whenever they are working on a job for us we are in good hands. We have a few more projects we would like to have completed in our home within the next year and will definitely be hiring Performance Home Services, LLC to complete those jobs. Thanks again Kevin & Alex."

Customers say: Quick response

"Tom and Rex are great and I would recommend them without any reservations. Tom and Rex rescued us after a very bad experience with another â contractor.â They are professional, polite, and deliver great work. Tom and Rex removed and reinstalled all the trim throughout the home fixing the serious problems left by the prior individual. Rehung all the doors. Made certain all was plumb and square. Their trim work is beautiful. Tom crafted custom vanities and a banquet sitting area. Beautiful work. Rex reworked the Sheetrock and finished it beautifully. Tom built custom drawers for under the banquet and vanities. Beautiful work and soft close drawers. I am happy to speak with anyone about their work. I would not hesitate to hire them for future projects. My cell is 336 6241648. Jim"

Window Door Contractors questions, answered by experts

In Conway, screen repair projects should be handled right away if you spot large holes, sagging mesh, or bent frames, especially before mosquito season or hurricane threats. Prioritize repairs if your window screens or porch screens are letting in pests or debris. Small snags or minor wear can usually wait until cooler months, when humidity and insect activity are lower.

Helpful?

After finishing screen repair in Conway, check all window screens and porch screens for tight seals, especially before summer storms. Remove leftover debris to prevent attracting palmetto bugs or ants. Clean screens each spring and fall, and consider applying UV-protective treatments to extend their lifespan. Schedule annual inspections and keep a maintenance log to simplify future repairs and support any insurance claims.

Helpful?

Homes in Conway are ideal for screen repair if you’re near the Waccamaw River, have shaded yards, or experience frequent summer storms. If your window screens show rust, loose mesh, or mildew from SC’s humidity, repairs are recommended. Properties with screened porches or sunrooms, or those built before 2000, often benefit from updated screens for better airflow and pest control.

Helpful?

New homeowners in Conway should first repair or replace window screens in bedrooms, living areas, and any screened porches. Focus on ground-level and high-traffic areas to keep out mosquitoes and sand gnats, especially before peak summer. Document the current condition of all screens, get a professional assessment if needed, and establish a seasonal maintenance routine to protect your home from local pests and weather.

Helpful?

Before starting screen repair in Conway, plan projects during dry, mild weather to avoid rain delays. Inspect all window and porch screens for hidden damage from storms or insects. Measure frames carefully, as humidity can affect fit. Check for any HOA screening guidelines, gather materials from local suppliers, and temporarily seal off open areas to keep out mosquitoes and gnats during repairs.
