"The representative was both very pleasant and professional. We were both replacing and adding outdoor floodlights with motion detectors. To help us save money, the electrician offered run a line directly to the light, that was not previously wired, verses going through the wall to the light switch for the outdoor lights. Since the light switch would have to be turned on all the time anyway, we thought that was a good idea."

"Knowledgeable, quick, not overpriced. I spent less for parts because he told me I needed a. different switches. Waited in his truck while I made a 20 minute run to do the exchange at Home Depot. Smooth sailing from there, great job."

"KC Flowers has done various jobs for us. We initially started with installing an irrigation system and landscaping for the entire yard. Then we had two separate paver projects completed. Cain and his workers are very hardworking and professional. Highly recommend and will continue to use KC Flowers."

Lighting questions, answered by experts

Local building codes typically require conduit around exterior wiring. Conduit protects the wire from moisture, extreme temperatures, sun exposure, and harsh weather conditions to prolong its lifespan. When a wire is worn out, it can be dangerous as the risk of electric shock or fire increases.

Flickering lights, intermittent outages, or physical damage to fixtures signal immediate repair to avoid electrical hazards.

Replacing a pool light costs about $625 per light. If you only need to replace the light bulb, plan on paying about $20 to $100 per light. The largest cost factors include the type of pool light, the number of pool lights needed, and the labor costs in your location. But additional cost factors include work required on existing wiring, other repairs, and the continual maintenance needed to keep your pool light in good working condition after installation.

Yes! As a matter of fact, there are many sensors that add motion to existing outdoor lights. These motion sensors attach to pre-existing flood lights and other outdoor lights without any fussy and potentially dangerous electrical work. Additionally, some flood lights and related fixtures ship with motion sensors built-in.

The cost to repair outdoor lighting typically ranges from $100 to $400. The final price depends on the severity of the damage, the specific issue, the type of lighting system, and the parts needed. Some repairs are priced per fixture, averaging $100 to $300, and there may be additional fees if the lighting is difficult to access.
