"Daniel and his team were phenomenal. Exceeded all expectations. Professional, on time (early) clean, attention to detail and extremely good at what they do. I had interior painting done in three rooms and some major sheetrock work done in a ceiling. Daniel is like an artist with sheetrock mud. The ceiling is flawless. They made sure all furniture, ceiling fans, and even handrails were covers to protect from drips and dust. They vacuumed the space and even cleaned windows before replacing the blinds. I am beyond pleased with the paint job! I highly recommend D&E Drywall. Very affordable, easy to communicate with and fantastic work! Two coast of paint in walls, ceiling and trim."

Customers say: True professional

"In addition to the interior painting, we also had Finished Painting remove our popcorn ceilings in the kitchen, breakfast room, living room and loft. It was a messy job, but well worth it! Sid Son and his nephew treated this job as if it was their own house. He is a perfectionist! We couldn't be happier and are already planning the next project with Finished Painting."

"After getting a few quotes for a quick interior painting job (walls only, no baseboards or trim), I decided to go with Nicholson's Painting. I'm glad I did, as they were quick, efficient, and professional. The owner met with me, discussed various options for paint color and sheen, and was willing to work within my budget. I would recommend this company to anyone seeking well-done, professional work at an unbeatable rate."

"I highly recommend Mr. Vargas! He responded quickly to my quote request and was the most competitively priced. My front door looked brand new when he finished priming and painting. Very good communicator. I would hire again for any of my painting needs!"

"First let me state that this review is way too late being written and I sincerely apologize for that. Mark headed up this effort and his crew came in, did the job professionally, fast and a good job. I'd recommend Lester's Painting to anyone and would definitely use them again. Mark is just an amazing person to work with and once we finish all of our decorating we intent to invite him over for drinks to see the finished apartment. (Mark, we're getting there, haha!) As I stated in the "what work was done" section this was a complex and very detailed interior paint requirement and the execution here was AMAZING! Metalics, various colors, contrasting ceilings, trims, doors and accents! Work done was at a fair price, impressive results and we are beyond pleased with it all! Family and friends have been blown away by the scheme and while that requires good planning (my amazing wife's tastes!) it needed perfect execution - and Lester's deliver 110%! Great people, great work, fair price - You won't find a better company in our opinion so go ahead and request a quote for your job! -- This ends the review of Lester's Painting -- the following is a side note. The following is NOT a review of Lester's themselves but a lesson to be learned if you read this review. That lesson. Stick with the services Lester's will do and plan jobs outside that scope with another professional... There was only a single issue (OF NO FAULT OF LESTER'S OR MARK HIMSELF) - one of the painters (very talented) who was supposed to come back and do a side project (and at the same time do the final touchup of paint). He worked incredibly hard to complete the task in one evening but was only able to complete about 80% of the wallpaper and never replaced or painted the baseboards he removed as part of the effort. Despite being paid for the entire job with the agreement he'd return attempts to reach him to arrange the completion were ignored and he would not respond. We'll finish this up soon, the paper, replacement of baseboards and painting of those to match. So again, just a lesson to us and maybe someone who thinks about odd jobs that are slightly out of scope --NOT a fault of Lester's painting, though."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

You can find chemical and naturally derived paint thinners to remove paint without as much sanding. A heat gun or pressure washer can also remove paint from large areas. However, sanding is often the best way to remove the final bits of paint that remain on the surface.

With patience, you can often save a dried paintbrush. Soak the bristles overnight and clean the brush as you would any other time. You'll likely have to repeat the cleaning steps, including soaking, more than once.

Soot can be harder to remove compared to other types of stains given its acidic nature. It can also cause underlying paint to peel off during the cleaning process. If your soot issue is a result of smoke damage, it’s recommended you call a pro to help remove it versus doing it yourself.

Yes, you can technically use a pressure washer to remove paint from brick, but it comes with a significant risk of damaging the brick surface. A high-power pressure washer can be fast but may leave the brick looking unsightly. The recommended method is to first apply a chemical paint stripper, following the product's instructions, and then use a stiff metal bristle brush or a pressure washer on a low-pressure setting to remove the loosened paint. Due to the risk of damage, it is often best to hire a professional who can use low-stress methods.

A natural paint remover for metal is a solution of 16 parts water and one part baking soda or vinegar. When heated on your stovetop, these non-toxic household items combine into a highly effective solution that can be used to remove paint from small metal objects with tricky nooks and crannies.
