Small jobs welcome

As a cleaning business owner, I’m someone who truly cares about the work I do. I enjoy helping people feel comfortable and stress-free in their homes or workplaces. I’m dependable, pay attention to the little details, and treat every space with respect. For me, it’s not just about cleaning it’s about building trust, showing up consistently, and making a real difference for my clients.

"I called Horizon after moving into a new home in Medway and having no idea what condition the chimney was in. They sent a team out the same day! The guys were great - very friendly and professional. They looked everything over, informed us that one chimney needed to be cleaned but the other did not, and some of the brick work was loose on the fireplace floor. I also requested a chimney cap and they suggested strengthening part of the chimney before installing. They provided an estimate within 24 hours and came out about a week later to do the work. Again, they were completely professional, pleasant and somehow despite cleaning the chimney and doing masonry work, did not create any dust or mess in the house. I was so pleased that I asked them to put us on a yearly schedule for routine cleaning. I highly recommend!"

"Our flue chimney was in such bad shape we needed it completely rebuilt from the roof line up. It looks so good now! Before there was a leak into the attic, but now after heavy rains everything under the roof is bone dry. $3000 is a lot to spend on a chimney just from the roof up but it is a reasonable price considering the work done to the liner, flashing, new cap, inspection, and sweeping. I am glad I trusted the positive ratings rather than getting someone else to do it cheaper, since I'm sure if it was cheaper it would not be as good of a job."

"I made an appointment for chimney cleaning with this company. They have excellent customer service, and the employee who came was professional and polite. After inspecting our chimneys, he told us that we had stainless steel liners (which we didn't know), and that we didn't need a cleaning. He didn't charge us for the visit, which in our experience is rare among service companies."

Chimney Sweep questions, answered by experts

To get rid of the smoke smell in a microwave, scrape off any burnt food residue and throw it away. Next, warm a cup of water in a microwave-safe container for three minutes. Then, dip a microfiber cloth into a mixture of water and a couple of drops of dish soap and wipe down the inside of the microwave. Dry the inside of the microwave with a fresh cloth and let everything air out for three hours.

Common issues discovered during a chimney inspection or cleaning include creosote buildup, cracked liners, structural degeneration or masonry degradation, and obstructions such as blocked flues or animal nests. These issues are potential safety hazards that can lead to combustion problems or poor air quality if not addressed.

The timeline for smoke damage remediation can range from a single day to several months, depending on the extent of the damage, the size of the affected area, and the methods used. For minor damage, such as removing cigarette smoke odors from a single room, the process might take only one to two days and typically involves deep cleaning, painting, and sealing walls. Some methods, like ozone treatments, can take 24 to 48 hours, though multiple treatments may be necessary. More extensive smoke damage, such as from a house fire, can take three weeks or longer to clean and treat. If significant material restoration or replacement is needed, the timeline can extend to six to 12 months. A smoke damage restoration professional can provide a more accurate estimate for your specific situation.

If your oven is new, then it’s likely that the oven smoking is due to it being a new unit. In this case, you don’t need to worry about the oven smoking. However, if your oven is old, you can’t identify any burnt food or grease that could be behind the smoking, or you have concerns about the heating element, then you should hire an oven technician to inspect your unit.

DIY is not recommended due to the complexity and potential structural issues. Hire professionals for thorough and safe repairs.
