"My wife and I have used CJM multiple projects including stump removal, re-looming, grass seeding, and most recently back yard grading. I can’t say enough about this crew, they’re very particular and clearly perfectionists which is shown through the quality of work they do! They’re very flexible in working within your availability rather than only offering their typical schedules and overall a super friendly crew with more than fair pricing. Couldn’t recommend a better contractor, amazing customer service, awesome quality, and never take a day longer than expected! Awesome job guys"

"Juan and his team arrived as scheduled and worked a very long day until the job was finished. His workers were very polite and professional. The site was left very clean and they removed all the debris created by the workload…I will call them again for future work. A hard working, good group ! 🏋🏼 The work was beautiful."

Aquarium Services questions, answered by experts

All municipalities in the U.S. require a permit for septic tank installation or septic system alteration, and the permit will usually cost between $450 and $2,500. Some municipalities also require permits for septic system repair. You’ll either need to contact your local building department or your septic tank company to ask if this is necessary before carrying out the work. Permits are not typically required to have your septic tank pumped, so provided your septic company is licensed, you can move forward with the work as needed.

There are a few signs that you might notice if your drain field is bad. For starters, if you see standing water or soggy grass above your drain field, it could mean that it isn’t working correctly. Or, if your yard smells like sewage, it could also indicate that there’s a problem with your drain field. Repairing a drain field costs an average of $2,000 to $15,000.

The bacteria already present in your septic system should be enough to break down solids in a properly maintained septic tank. However, if you’re in a DIY mood, you can try adding (well-mashed) rotten tomatoes to help the good bacteria fulfill their duty. Just make sure you give them a couple hours to work after flushing them down.

Toilet paper is the only material that you should flush down toilets. Other items like wipes, paper towels, feminine hygiene products, dental floss, and medications should be disposed of in the trash. Flushing these items can lead to plumbing issues and damage to sewage systems. Grease and cooking oils should also be avoided as they can solidify in pipes, causing blockages. Proper disposal helps prevent clogs and ensures the efficient operation of wastewater treatment systems while protecting the environment.

Watch for slow drainage, pooling water in the yard, or unpleasant odors inside or outside. Addressing these issues timely avoids significant disruptions or costs.
